3. Setup Instructions

3.1 Connecting the Keyboard

1. Connect the USB-C end of the provided cable to the port on the keyboard.
2. Connect the USB-A end of the cable to an available USB port on your computer.
3. The keyboard will be automatically recognized by your operating system.

3.2 Switching Operating Systems

The AK61 supports both Windows and Mac layouts. To switch between systems:

• Press FN + W to switch to Windows mode.
• Press FN + E to switch to Mac mode.

Additional keycaps for Mac are included to customize your layout.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 N-Key Rollover (NKRO)

The AK61 features N-Key Rollover, allowing all keys to be registered simultaneously without conflict, which is beneficial for fast typing and gaming.

4.2 Programmable Layers and Macros

The keyboard supports three programmable layers: FN1, FN2, and FN3. All keyboard functions can be configured through the dedicated software, including macro recording and custom key assignments. The integrated flash memory saves your settings directly to the keyboard, allowing them to persist even when offline.

4.3 RGB Backlighting

The AK61 is equipped with SMD RGB lighting, offering over 16.8 million colors. Numerous lighting effects are available for download and are regularly updated. To activate the music rhythm mode, press FN + [{ four times. In this mode, the lighting will synchronize with the rhythm of your music.

4.4 Hot-Swappable Switches

The AK61 features hot-swappable Gateron optical switches, allowing you to easily replace switches without soldering. This provides flexibility for customizing your typing experience.

4.5 ABS Double-Shot Keycaps

The keyboard comes with durable ABS double-shot keycaps. These can be changed using the included keycap puller for further customization. The ergonomic design of the keycaps contributes to comfortable use.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning the Keyboard

• Disconnect the keyboard from your computer before cleaning.
• Use a soft brush or compressed air to remove dust and debris from between the keycaps.
• For stubborn dirt, gently wipe the keycaps and keyboard surface with a slightly damp, lint-free cloth. Avoid excessive moisture.
• The keyboard features a dust-proof design, which helps in reducing dust accumulation.

5.2 Replacing Keycaps and Switches

• Use the provided keycap puller to carefully remove keycaps. Grip the keycap firmly and pull straight up.
• Use the provided switch puller to remove switches. Insert the puller's prongs into the two clips on the top and bottom of the switch, squeeze gently, and pull the switch straight up.
• When installing new switches, ensure the pins are aligned correctly with the PCB sockets to prevent bending. Press firmly until the switch clicks into place.

6. Troubleshooting

• Keyboard not responding: Ensure the USB cable is securely connected to both the keyboard and the computer. Try a different USB port or cable.
• Keys not registering: Check if any debris is lodged under the keycap or switch. If using hot-swappable switches, ensure the switch is fully seated.
• RGB lighting not working: Verify that the keyboard is properly connected. Use the software to check lighting settings or try cycling through lighting modes using keyboard shortcuts.
• Incorrect layout (Mac/Win): Ensure you have switched to the correct operating system mode using FN + W (Windows) or FN + E (Mac).
