1. Introduction

The CUI Inc Tuya Smart Camera is a versatile HD 1080P wireless WiFi IP camera designed for both outdoor and indoor home security. It features two-way audio, auto-tracking, and night vision capabilities, ensuring comprehensive surveillance. With an IP65 waterproof rating, it is suitable for various environments. This camera is compatible with Alexa, Google Home, and the Smart Life APP, offering convenient control and monitoring.

3. Product Overview

The Tuya Smart Camera is designed for ease of use and robust performance. Key components include the camera lens, IR LED lights for night vision, a light sensor, and a PIR motion sensor. It also features a TF card slot for local storage and a reset button for device management.

4. Setup

Follow these steps to set up your Tuya Smart Camera:

1. Power On: Connect the camera to the US Power Plug and plug it into a power outlet.
2. App Download: Download the "Tuyasmart" or "Smart Life" app from your mobile device's app store.
3. Account Registration: Open the app and register for a new account or log in if you already have one.
4. Add Device:
   • In the app, tap the "+" icon to add a new device.
   • Select "Security & Video Surveillance" and then "Smart Camera" or "Wireless Camera".
   • Follow the on-screen prompts to reset the device if necessary (usually by pressing the reset button until an indicator flashes or a prompt is heard).
   • Enter your 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network details (5G networks are not supported).
   • The app will generate a QR code. Position your mobile device with the QR code 15-20 cm (approximately 6-8 inches) in front of the camera lens. The camera will scan the QR code.
   • Once the camera successfully scans the QR code and you hear a prompt, confirm in the app.
5. Device Connection: The app will proceed to add the device. Ensure your Wi-Fi signal is good during this process.
6. Completion: Once the device is successfully added, you can rename it and begin monitoring.

5. Operating the Camera

Once connected, you can utilize the following features via the Smart Life or Tuyasmart app:

• Live View: Access real-time video feed from your mobile phone.
• Pan/Tilt Control: Use the app's directional controls to remotely adjust the camera's viewing angle (Vertically 110°, Horizontally 355°).
• Two-Way Audio: Utilize the built-in microphone and speaker for bidirectional voice intercom.
• Night Vision: The camera automatically switches to night vision mode using 12 IR LED lights, providing clear images up to 8-10 meters in low-light conditions.
• Motion Detection & Alarm Push: Configure motion detection settings to receive alarm pushes to your mobile device when movement is detected.
• Recording: Record video footage directly to the app or to a TF card (max 64GB, not included).
• Cloud Console Control: Manage and access your camera's features through the cloud platform.

6. Maintenance

To ensure optimal performance and longevity of your camera:

• Cleaning: Gently wipe the camera lens and body with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
• Placement: While IP65 waterproof, ensure the camera is installed in a location that minimizes direct exposure to extreme weather conditions to prolong its lifespan.
• Firmware Updates: Regularly check the Smart Life or Tuyasmart app for available firmware updates to ensure your camera has the latest features and security enhancements.
• Storage Management: If using a TF card, periodically review and manage stored footage to prevent the card from becoming full.
