5. Placement Considerations

The infrared distance is approximately 26 feet (8 meters), and it features multi-faceted infrared direction for broader coverage.
Operating
1. Basic Device Control
Once paired, use the Brookstone Smart App to control your IR-enabled devices such as televisions, air conditioners, and fans. The app allows you to replicate the functions of your original remote controls.
2. Voice Control Integration
The controller is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. To enable voice control:
- Link your Brookstone Smart App account with your Alexa or Google Assistant app.
- Follow the instructions in the Alexa or Google Assistant app to discover and configure your devices.
- You can then use voice commands to operate your connected IR devices (e.g., "Alexa, turn on the TV," or "Hey Google, set the AC to 72 degrees").
