Setup and Assembly

Assembly of the Weider Platinum Adjustable Slant Bench is straightforward. It is recommended to have a second person for assistance during certain steps. Tools for assembly are not included and may be required (e.g., wrenches, socket set).

  3. Attach the seat and backrest pads securely to the frame.

Operating Instructions

The Weider Platinum Adjustable Slant Bench offers versatile positions for a comprehensive workout.

Adjusting Bench Positions

The bench features 7 adjustable positions, including incline, flat, and decline settings. To adjust the backrest:

  1. Locate the tethered safety pin or adjustment lever near the hinge point of the backrest.
  2. Pull the pin or release the lever to disengage the locking mechanism.
  3. Carefully move the backrest to your desired angle (incline, flat, or decline).
  4. Ensure the pin securely locks into one of the 7 available positions before use.

Using the Integrated Leg Lockdown

The integrated leg lockdown helps secure your position during exercises, especially for decline movements or abdominal work. The comfortable foam rollers protect your skin.

  • Position your legs under the foam rollers, ensuring a snug but comfortable fit.
  • The leg lockdown can be adjusted to accommodate different leg lengths by repositioning the pin.

Exercise Examples

The bench is suitable for a variety of strength-building exercises using dumbbells (not included) or body weight. An exercise chart is included to guide you through new routines and proper form.

  • Dumbbell Press: Adjust the bench to a flat or incline position. Lie on the bench with dumbbells in hand and perform presses.
  • Crunches/Sit-ups: Set the bench to a decline position and secure your legs under the leg lockdown for abdominal exercises.
  • Dumbbell Rows: Use the flat bench for supported dumbbell rows to target back muscles.
