Setup: Setting Your Combination

Your iFAM combination padlock comes with a factory preset combination, typically 0-0-0. To set your personal combination, follow these steps:

1. Ensure the padlock is open and set to the current combination (factory default 0-0-0).
2. Rotate the shackle 90 degrees counter-clockwise from the locked position.
3. Press the shackle down firmly into the body of the lock.
4. While holding the shackle down, set your desired 3-digit combination by rotating the dials. Choose a memorable number.
5. Release the shackle and return it to the original locked position.
6. Scramble the dials to lock the padlock. Test your new combination to ensure it opens correctly before securing any items.

Important: Do not forget your combination. There is no master key or override function to reset a forgotten combination.

Operating the Padlock

To open the padlock:

1. Align the three dials to your set combination.
2. Pull the shackle upwards to release it from the lock body.

To close and lock the padlock:

1. Insert the shackle into the lock body.
2. Scramble the three dials to a random number. The padlock is now locked.

Maintenance

The iFAM combination padlock requires minimal maintenance to ensure its longevity and smooth operation.

• Keep the padlock clean and dry to prevent dirt and debris from affecting the dials or shackle mechanism.
• Avoid exposing the padlock to extreme temperatures or harsh chemicals, which can damage the materials.
• If the dials become stiff or difficult to turn, a small amount of graphite lubricant can be applied. Avoid oil-based lubricants as they can attract dirt.

Troubleshooting

Padlock will not open with the correct combination:

• Ensure each number on the dials is precisely aligned with the indicator marks.
• Double-check that you are using the correct combination. If you recently changed it, try the old combination as well, in case the change was not fully registered.
• Gently wiggle the shackle while entering the combination to ensure no internal components are stuck.

Dials are stiff or difficult to turn:

• Clean any visible dirt or grime from the dials and the gaps around them.
• Apply a small amount of graphite powder lubricant to the dials and rotate them to distribute it.

Important: If you have forgotten your combination, the padlock cannot be opened without knowing the correct sequence. iFAM does not provide a recovery service for forgotten combinations.
