1. Important Safeguards

3. Setup
- Unpack: Carefully remove the appliance and all its components from the packaging. Retain packaging for future storage or transport if desired.
- Clean: Before first use, wash the removable cooking plates (grill plate, deep pot, Takoyaki pan) and the glass lid with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely. Wipe the main unit with a damp cloth; do not immerse the main unit in water.
- Placement: Place the main unit on a stable, flat, dry, and heat-resistant surface, ensuring adequate ventilation around the appliance.
- Assemble: Insert the desired clean and dry cooking plate (grill plate, deep pot, or Takoyaki pan) into the main unit. Ensure it is seated correctly.
4. Operating Instructions
This appliance offers versatile cooking options. Always ensure the temperature control slider is in the 'OFF' position before plugging in or unplugging the unit.
General Operation:
- Ensure the chosen cooking plate is correctly installed in the main unit.
- Insert the temperature control slider into its slot on the main unit.
- Plug the power cord into a standard 110V electrical outlet.
- Slide the temperature control to your desired setting (WARM, LOW, MED, HIGH). The indicator light will illuminate.
- Allow the appliance to preheat for approximately 5-10 minutes, or until the indicator light turns off, signaling it has reached the set temperature.
Cooking Functions:
4.1 Grilling (Steak, BBQ, Pan-Frying)
Use the grill plate for searing, grilling, and pan-frying. The non-stick surface ensures easy food release.
- Install the grill plate.
- Preheat the appliance to MED or HIGH.
- Add a small amount of cooking oil if necessary, then place food items like steak, chicken, or vegetables directly onto the grill plate.
- Cook to desired doneness, turning food as needed.

4.2 Hot Pot / Boiling / Stewing
The deep pot is ideal for preparing hot pot, boiling soups, or stewing dishes.
- Install the deep pot.
- Add water, broth, or other liquids and desired ingredients.
- Cover with the glass lid.
- Set the temperature to HIGH for boiling, then reduce to MED or LOW for simmering.

4.3 Steaming
Steam fish, dumplings, or vegetables using the deep pot and a suitable steaming rack (not included, but compatible).
- Install the deep pot.
- Add approximately 2-3 cups of water to the bottom of the deep pot.
- Place a steaming rack (if available) into the pot, ensuring it is above the water level.
- Place food on the steaming rack.
- Cover with the glass lid and set the temperature to HIGH until water boils, then reduce to MED for steaming.

4.4 Takoyaki / Octopus Balls
Prepare delicious Takoyaki or other spherical snacks with the dedicated Takoyaki pan.
- Install the Takoyaki pan.
- Preheat the appliance to MED or HIGH.
- Lightly oil each mold.
- Pour Takoyaki batter into each mold, filling about two-thirds. Add octopus pieces or other fillings.
- Cook until the edges are firm, then use a skewer or pick to turn the balls, cooking until golden brown and cooked through.

5. Temperature Control
The Joydeem Compact Multifunction Hot Plate features a 4-gear temperature control slider for precise heat management:
- OFF: Turns the appliance off.
- WARM: Maintains food at a warm serving temperature.
- LOW: Suitable for gentle simmering or keeping food warm.
- MED: Ideal for general cooking, sautéing, and moderate grilling.
- HIGH: For rapid heating, boiling, and high-temperature grilling/searing.

6. Cleaning and Maintenance
Proper cleaning and maintenance will extend the life of your appliance.
- Unplug and Cool: Always unplug the appliance from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
- Remove Cooking Plates: Carefully remove the cooking plate (grill, deep pot, or Takoyaki pan) and the glass lid from the main unit.
- Wash Removable Parts: Wash the cooking plates and glass lid with warm, soapy water using a soft sponge or cloth. The non-stick ceramic coating is easy to clean. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely before storing or reassembling. Do not use abrasive cleaners, metal scrubbers, or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the non-stick surface.
- Clean Main Unit: Wipe the exterior of the main unit with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the main unit, power cord, or temperature control slider in water or any other liquid.
- Storage: Ensure all parts are completely dry before storing the appliance in a cool, dry place.

7. Troubleshooting
