Setup
- Unpack Components: Carefully remove all parts from the packaging.
- Wash Before First Use: Wash the pitcher, lid, and blade assembly in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and air dry. The pitcher and lid are dishwasher safe (top rack only). Handle the blade assembly with extreme caution as the blades are sharp.
- Assemble the Pitcher: Place the motor base on a clean, dry, level surface. Lower the Total Crushing Pitcher onto the motor base, aligning the pitcher handle slightly to the right of the base. Rotate the pitcher clockwise until it clicks into place.
- Insert Blade Assembly: Carefully place the Stacked Blade Assembly onto the drive gear inside the pitcher. Ensure it is seated properly.
- Secure the Lid: Place the lid on top of the pitcher and press down firmly until it clicks into place. The handle on the lid must be aligned with the handle on the pitcher. The blender will not operate unless the lid is securely locked.
- Plug In: Plug the power cord into a standard electrical outlet. The power button will illuminate.
Operating Instructions
The Ninja BN701 Professional Plus Blender offers both manual speed controls and intelligent Auto-iQ programs for various blending tasks.
Using Auto-iQ Programs:
Auto-iQ programs are pre-set, timed blending patterns that deliver consistent results. Simply add your ingredients, secure the lid, and select one of the following programs:
- SMOOTHIE: Ideal for blending fresh or frozen fruits and liquids into smooth beverages.
- ICE CRUSH: Specifically designed to crush ice into snow for frozen drinks and cocktails.
- ICE CREAM: Creates creamy frozen desserts from frozen fruits and dairy/non-dairy bases.
Press the desired Auto-iQ button, and the program will run automatically, pausing and pulsing as needed, then stopping when complete.

Using Manual Speeds:
For manual control, select one of the following speed settings:
- LOW: For mixing batters, dressings, and light blending.
- MED: For thicker mixtures, sauces, and general blending.
- HIGH: For heavy-duty blending, pureeing, and processing tough ingredients.
- PULSE: Provides short bursts of power for chopping, dicing, or controlled processing. Hold down for continuous pulsing.
Press the POWER button to turn the unit on, then select your desired manual speed or PULSE. Press POWER again to turn off the unit.

Maintenance and Cleaning
Proper cleaning and maintenance will extend the life of your Ninja blender.
Cleaning Instructions:
- Always Unplug: Before cleaning, ensure the motor base is unplugged from the power outlet.
- Pitcher and Lid: The Total Crushing Pitcher and its lid are dishwasher safe (top rack recommended). For hand washing, use warm, soapy water and a non-abrasive sponge.
- Blade Assembly: The Stacked Blade Assembly is extremely sharp. Handle with extreme care. Wash with warm, soapy water using a dish-washing utensil with a handle to avoid direct contact with blades. Do not immerse the blade assembly in water for extended periods.
- Motor Base: Wipe the motor base clean with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the motor base in water or any other liquid.
- Lid Water Retention: After washing, shake the lid to remove any trapped water, as it can sometimes retain moisture.
