1. Introduction

The Maxtrack 5-Way HDMI Switch (Model CS 1-5 L) is designed to connect up to five HDMI source devices to a single HDMI display. This device allows for easy switching between multiple HDMI sources such as game consoles, Blu-ray players, and streaming boxes, eliminating the need to constantly reconnect cables. 4. Setup

Follow these steps to set up your Maxtrack 5-Way HDMI Switch:

  1. Connect HDMI Source Devices: Connect up to five HDMI source devices (e.g., game console, Blu-ray player) to the HDMI Input ports (IN PUT 1-5) on the switch using HDMI cables.
  2. Connect to Display: Connect one end of an HDMI cable to the HDMI Output port (OUT PUT) on the switch and the other end to the HDMI input of your display (TV, monitor, projector).
  3. Connect IR Receiver: Plug the IR Receiver Cable into the designated IR port on the HDMI switch. Position the IR receiver in a location where it can receive signals from the remote control.
  4. Connect Power: Connect the USB Power Cable to the power input port on the HDMI switch. Plug the other end of the USB cable into a USB power source (e.g., a USB port on your TV, a USB wall adapter).
  5. Power On: Ensure all connected devices and the display are powered on.

5. Operating Instructions

Once the setup is complete, you can switch between your connected HDMI devices using one of two methods:

5.1 Using the Button on the Device

  • Press the "SELECTED" button on the front of the HDMI switch to cycle through the available input sources (IN PUT 1, 2, 3, 4, 5).
  • The LED indicators on the switch will illuminate to show which input is currently selected.

5.2 Using the IR Remote Control

  • Point the IR remote control towards the IR receiver connected to the HDMI switch.
  • Press the corresponding number button (1, 2, 3, 4, or 5) on the remote to directly select the desired HDMI input.

6. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your HDMI switch, follow these maintenance guidelines:

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the device. Avoid using liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.
  • Placement: Place the switch in a well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and moisture.
  • Handling: Handle the device and cables with care. Avoid bending or pulling cables excessively.
  • Power: Disconnect power when the device is not in use for extended periods.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Maxtrack 5-Way HDMI Switch, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
