Operating Instructions

Display Setup for Windows OS (Triple Display Support)

Windows systems support Triple Display (MST mode), allowing for extended or mirrored displays across multiple monitors and your laptop screen. You can achieve up to four distinct displays (laptop screen + 2 HDMI + 1 DisplayPort).

Image: An illustration of a Windows laptop connected to three external monitors, demonstrating various display configurations like extended and collage modes.

To configure your displays on Windows:

  1. Right-click on your desktop and select "Display settings" or go to "Settings" > "System" > "Display".
  2. Under "Multiple displays", you can detect, identify, and arrange your monitors.
  3. Use the dropdown menu to select display modes: "Extend desktop to this display" for separate workspaces, or "Duplicate desktop on 1 and 2" for mirroring.
  4. Adjust resolution and orientation as needed for each display.

Display Setup for Mac OS (Mirror Mode Only)

Please note that Mac OS systems do not support Multi-Stream Transport (MST) for extended triple displays. Mac OS will only support mirror mode across all external displays. You can extend your desktop to one external monitor, but additional monitors will mirror that extended display or the main laptop display.

Image: An illustration demonstrating how Mac OS handles additional displays, primarily supporting mirror mode for external monitors.

To configure your displays on Mac OS:

  1. Go to "System Settings" > "Displays".
  2. You will see your built-in display and any connected external displays.
  3. To mirror your display, select "Mirror Built-in Display" for the external monitor. To extend, select "Extended Display". Remember, Mac OS will mirror subsequent external displays.
  4. Adjust resolution and refresh rate (e.g., 4K@30Hz) as supported.
