4. Setup Instructions

Follow these steps for initial setup of your water cooler.

  1. Unpack the Unit: Carefully remove all packaging materials. Retain packaging for future transport if needed.
  2. Placement: Position the water cooler on a flat, stable, and level surface. Ensure there is at least 4 inches (10 cm) of space from the back and sides of the unit to allow for proper air circulation. Avoid direct sunlight or heat sources.
  3. Initial Cleaning: Before first use, wipe down the exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Clean the drip tray.
  4. Install Water Bottle:
    • Open the bottom compartment door.
    • Remove the cap from a new 3 or 5-gallon water bottle.
    • Insert the siphon tube (provided) into the water bottle, ensuring it reaches the bottom.
    • Slide the water bottle into the compartment and close the door securely.
  5. Prime the System: Before plugging in the unit, place a cup under each spigot (hot, cold, room temperature) and press the dispensing button until water flows steadily from each. This ensures the internal tanks are filled and prevents damage to the heating element.
  6. Connect Power: Plug the power cord into a grounded 120V AC outlet. The indicator lights will illuminate.
  7. Allow to Cool/Heat: Allow approximately 15-30 minutes for the water to reach optimal cold and hot temperatures before first use.

5. Operating Instructions

Dispensing water from your Igloo water cooler is simple.

  1. Dispensing Cold Water: Place your cup under the cold water spigot. Press the blue cold water button. Release the button when your cup is full.
  2. Dispensing Room Temperature Water: Place your cup under the room temperature water spigot. Press the green room temperature button. Release the button when your cup is full.
  3. Dispensing Hot Water (with Child Safety Lock):
    • Place your cup under the hot water spigot.
    • Simultaneously slide the red child safety lock button and press the red hot water dispensing button.
    • Release both buttons when your cup is full. Always ensure the child safety lock is engaged after use.
  4. Indicator Lights: The front panel features lights indicating power status, heating cycle, and cooling cycle. These lights will turn on and off as the unit maintains desired temperatures.
