2.2 Choosing an Installation Location

2.3 Installation Steps

1. Clean the Windshield: Thoroughly clean the chosen installation area on the windshield with an alcohol wipe and let it dry completely.
2. Attach the Mounting Bracket: Peel off the protective film from the adhesive pad on the mounting bracket. Firmly press the bracket onto the cleaned windshield for at least 30 seconds. Allow the adhesive to cure for 24 hours before attaching the main unit, if possible, for maximum adhesion.
3. Insert microSD Card: Ensure the device is powered off. Insert the provided 32GB microSD card into the designated slot on the drive recorder until it clicks into place.
4. Attach the Main Unit: Slide the Q-20 main unit onto the mounting bracket until it locks securely.
5. Connect Power: Connect the 5V converter direct power connection cord to the drive recorder and route the cable neatly along the windshield trim and dashboard to your vehicle's 12V power source. Ensure the cable does not interfere with driving controls or airbags.
6. Adjust Camera Angle: Power on the device. Use the live view on the 2.4-inch LCD monitor to adjust the camera angle. Ensure the front view captures the road clearly and the interior view covers the cabin as desired.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Power On/Off

• Automatic Operation: The device will automatically power on and begin recording when your vehicle's ignition is turned on. It will power off shortly after the ignition is turned off.
• Manual Power: If your vehicle's power outlet is always on, you may need to manually power the device on/off using the designated power button. Refer to your vehicle's manual for power outlet behavior.

3.2 Recording Modes

The Q-20 supports continuous recording, event recording (triggered by impacts), and manual recording.

• Continuous Recording: Automatically starts when the device powers on. Footage is saved in segments and older files are overwritten when the microSD card is full (loop recording).
• Event Recording: The built-in G-sensor detects sudden impacts or harsh braking/acceleration and automatically saves the current footage as an event file, protecting it from being overwritten.
• Manual Recording: Press the designated button to manually save a segment of footage as an event file.

• On-Device Playback: Use the 2.4-inch LCD monitor and control buttons to navigate through recorded files and play them back directly on the device.

4.1 Cleaning the Device
