  • Do not allow unspecified multiple persons to use the device in medical institutions or public places. This may cause accidents or problems.

1.2 Usage Precautions

  • Individuals with severe circulatory disorders or blood diseases should use this device only under the guidance of a physician.
  • If an abnormality occurs during measurement, immediately remove the dedicated cuff from your arm.
  • Do not use on infants or individuals who cannot express their will.
  • Do not pressurize the dedicated cuff above 300 mmHg.
  • Do not use this device for purposes other than blood pressure measurement.
  • Use only the dedicated cuff provided with the device.
  • Do not use mobile phones or smartphones near the blood pressure monitor during operation.
  • Do not disassemble or modify the main unit or the dedicated cuff.
  • Ensure batteries are inserted with the correct positive (+) and negative (-) polarity.
  • Use only the specified type of batteries.
  • Remove batteries if the device will not be used for an extended period.

3. Setup

3.1 Battery Installation

  1. Open the battery compartment cover on the back of the main unit.
  2. Insert four AA batteries, ensuring the correct positive (+) and negative (-) polarity as indicated inside the compartment.
  3. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

3.2 Connecting the Cuff

Insert the air plug of the dedicated cuff firmly into the air jack on the side of the main unit.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Preparing for Measurement

  • Sit comfortably with your back supported and feet flat on the floor.
  • Rest your arm on a table so that the cuff is at heart level.
  • Ensure you are relaxed and have not exercised, eaten, or smoked for at least 30 minutes prior to measurement.

4.2 Applying the Cuff (Easy 3 Steps)

The OMRON HCR-7106 features a "Fit Cuff" designed for easy and accurate wrapping.

  1. Remove the cuff: If the cuff is already wrapped, unwrap it completely.
  2. Check cuff orientation: Ensure the air tube is positioned correctly for your arm.
  3. Wrap the cuff: Place the cuff on your upper arm, approximately 1-2 cm above your elbow. The arm circumference range for this cuff is 17 to 36 cm. Wrap it snugly but not too tightly.

4.3 Performing a Measurement

  1. Press the START/STOP button to begin the measurement. The cuff will inflate automatically.
  2. Remain still and silent during the measurement.
  3. Once the measurement is complete, the cuff will deflate, and your systolic and diastolic blood pressure readings, along with your pulse rate, will be displayed on the screen.

4.4 Cuff Wrapping Check Function

This device includes a "Cuff Fit Check" feature to ensure the cuff is wrapped correctly for accurate readings.

  • Ensure water or other liquids do not enter the interior of the main unit.
  • For heavy dirt, dampen a soft cloth with water or diluted neutral detergent, wring it thoroughly, wipe the dirt, and then wipe dry with a clean, soft cloth.
  • Do not use alcohol, benzene, thinner, or similar solvents for cleaning, as they may damage the device.
