Setup

1. Unpack: Carefully remove all packaging materials and promotional labels from the grill.
2. Clean Components: Wash the grill grate, crisper basket, cooking pot, and cleaning brush in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely. The ceramic-coated nonstick removable parts are dishwasher safe.

   

3. Assemble: Place the cooking pot into the main unit. Insert the desired cooking accessory (grill grate or crisper basket) into the cooking pot.
4. Position: Place the main unit on a clean, dry, level, heat-resistant surface. Ensure there is adequate space around the unit for proper ventilation.
5. Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet.

Operating Instructions

The Ninja Foodi Smart XL Grill offers 6 versatile cooking functions. Use the control panel to select your desired function and settings.

Using the Smart Cook System & Thermometer

The integrated Foodi Smart Thermometer allows for precise cooking results, eliminating guesswork. It continuously monitors your food's internal temperature.

1. Insert Thermometer: Insert the thermometer horizontally into the thickest part of the food, ensuring it is fully inserted and not touching bone or gristle.

   

2. Connect Thermometer: Plug the thermometer into the jack on the right side of the control panel.
3. Select Settings: Choose your desired cooking function (e.g., Grill, Roast). Select the food type and desired doneness level using the control panel. The grill will automatically adjust cooking time based on the thermometer reading.

   

4. Cook: The grill will preheat and then begin cooking. It will alert you when it's time to flip (if applicable) and when your food has reached the target doneness.

Grill Function

Achieve authentic char-grilled marks and flavors indoors with 500°F cyclonic air.

• Place the grill grate into the cooking pot.
• Select "Grill" and set your desired temperature.
• Allow the grill to preheat completely.
• Place food on the grill grate. The XL capacity allows grilling up to 6 steaks or 24 hot dogs simultaneously.
• Close the lid and cook until desired doneness.

Air Crisp Function

Enjoy crispy textures with up to 75% less fat than deep frying.

• Place the crisper basket into the cooking pot.
• Select "Air Crisp" and set your desired temperature and time.
• Allow the grill to preheat.
• Place food in the crisper basket.
• Close the lid and cook. Shake or toss food halfway through for even crisping.

Roast Function

Perfect for tender meats and roasted vegetables.

• Place the cooking pot or grill grate (depending on food size) into the unit.
• Select "Roast" and set your desired temperature and time.
• Allow the grill to preheat.
• Place food in the unit.

Bake Function

• Main Unit: Wipe the main unit clean with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the main unit in water or any other liquid.
