4. Installation Instructions

Follow these steps carefully to install your LIDER Countdown Timer Switch.

1. Turn Off Power: At the circuit breaker or fuse box, turn off the power to the switch location. Verify power is off using a voltage tester.
2. Remove Existing Switch: Carefully remove the existing wall plate and switch from the wall box. Disconnect the wires from the old switch.
3. Identify Wires: Identify the following wires in your wall box:
   • Hot Wire (Line): Typically black, carries power from the circuit breaker.
   • Load Wire: Typically black or red, carries power to the light or fan.
   • Neutral Wire: Typically white, required for this timer.
   • Ground Wire: Typically bare copper or green.
4. Connect Wires: Connect the wires from the LIDER timer switch to the corresponding wires in the wall box using wire nuts. The LIDER timer switch uses screw terminals for secure connections.
   • Connect the black wire from the timer to the Hot (Line) wire from the wall box.
   • Connect the red wire from the timer to the Load wire from the wall box.
   • Connect the white wire from the timer to the Neutral wire from the wall box.
   • Connect the green wire from the timer to the Ground wire from the wall box.

5. Mount the Switch: Carefully fold the wires and push the timer switch into the wall box. Secure it with the provided mounting screws.
6. Attach Wall Plate: Install the LIDER wall plate over the timer switch and secure it with the provided screws.
7. Restore Power: Turn the power back on at the circuit breaker or fuse box.

5. Operating Instructions

The LIDER Countdown Timer Switch offers simple operation for controlling your devices.

Setting the Countdown Timer:

• Press any of the six countdown buttons (5 min, 10 min, 20 min, 30 min, 1 hour, 2 hours) to activate the timer for the selected duration.
• The blue LED indicator corresponding to your selection will illuminate.
• The connected load will turn ON and remain ON for the set time, then automatically turn OFF.

Manual ON/OFF Override:

• To manually turn the load ON and bypass the timer, press the large manual ON/OFF button once.
• To manually turn the load OFF, press the large manual ON/OFF button again.

LED Indicator Modes:

The blue LED indicators have two modes:

• Mode 1 (Default): The LED flashes every couple of seconds to visually display the remaining countdown time.
• Mode 2: The LED stays continuously ON during the selected time delay and then shuts OFF.

To switch between LED modes:

1. Ensure the switch is ON.
2. Press and hold the top two countdown buttons (5 Min and 10 Min) simultaneously for 7 seconds.
3. The LED indicator will flash 3 times to confirm the mode change.
