3. Setup
3.1 Unpacking and Initial Inspection
Carefully remove the radio and all accessories from the packaging. Check for any signs of damage. The package should contain the VIOLA 2 C IR radio, an AC power adapter, a Lithium-ion battery, and this user manual.
3.2 Power Connection
- Battery Installation: The radio comes with a rechargeable Lithium-ion battery. Ensure it is correctly inserted into the battery compartment on the rear of the device.
- AC Power: Connect the supplied AC power adapter to the DC 5V input on the back of the radio (refer to Figure 3). Plug the adapter into a standard wall outlet. The battery will charge automatically when connected to AC power.
3.3 Initial Power-On and Language Selection
- Press the On/Off button to power on the radio.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Basic Controls
- On/Off: Powers the unit on or off.
- Mode: Switches between DAB+, FM, and Internet Radio modes.
- Info/Menu: Displays program information or accesses the main menu.

- DAB+ / FM: In DAB+ or FM mode, rotate the Tune/Enter knob to scan for stations. Press the knob to select a station.
- Internet Radio: In Internet Radio mode, use the Tune/Enter knob to browse stations by country, genre, or search. Press to select.
4.4 Saving and Recalling Presets
The radio allows you to save up to 30 favorite stations for each mode.
- To Save: Tune to your desired station. Press and hold one of the preset buttons (1-4+) until the display confirms the station is saved. For presets beyond 4, use the Tune/Enter knob to select a memory slot after pressing 4+.
