Setup: Battery Installation
The INSTACAN Electric Jar Opener requires 2 AA batteries (not included) for operation.
Steps for Battery Installation:
- Locate the battery compartment cover on the underside of the device.
- Gently slide or lift the cover to open the compartment.
- Insert 2 AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
- Replace the battery compartment cover until it clicks securely into place.
Operating Instructions
Using Your Jar Opener:
- Place the jar on a dry, flat, non-slip surface.
- Position the electric jar opener on top of the jar lid. Ensure the outer jaws are centered over the lid and the inner jaws are positioned around the lid's edge.
- Press the green button located on the top of the device. The opener will automatically adjust its jaws to grip the jar lid and the jar body.
- The device will rotate to loosen the lid. Once the lid is open, the opener will automatically stop and release its grip.
- Carefully remove the opener from the jar and then remove the loosened lid.
Important Usage Tips and Warnings
- Dry Surface: Ensure the jar body is dry before use. If the jar has been refrigerated, wipe it dry to prevent slippage and ensure a secure grip.
- Compatible Jars: Do not use with plastic jars, irregularly shaped jars, or conical jars. This device is designed for standard glass jars with twist-off lids.
- Safety: Avoid touching moving parts during operation to prevent injury.
- Automatic Shut-off: The device is designed to automatically shut off after opening the jar and resetting its jaws. This process takes a few seconds; allow it to complete naturally.
