1. Introduction

The Womier K66 is a compact 60% mechanical keyboard designed for gaming and general use. It features Gateron switches, vibrant RGB backlighting, and a hot-swappable design for easy switch customization. The keyboard is built with a PMMA acrylic casting body, providing a unique aesthetic and enhanced light transmission. It connects via a Type-C USB cable, ensuring broad compatibility with various devices.

2. Setup

2.1 Unboxing and Initial Inspection

2.2 Connecting the Keyboard

The Womier K66 connects to your device via a detachable USB Type-C cable. Locate the USB-C port on the keyboard, typically on the top edge, and connect the provided cable. Plug the other end of the cable into an available USB-A port on your computer or gaming console.

2.3 Hot-Swappable Switches

The Womier K66 features hot-swappable Gateron switches, allowing you to easily change switches without soldering. This feature enables customization of typing feel and sound. The keyboard supports both 3-pin and 5-pin switches.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 RGB Backlighting Control

The Womier K66 offers extensive RGB lighting customization. Use the following key combinations to adjust the lighting effects:

• FN + Spacebar: Cycle through different RGB lighting effects for the keycaps.
• FN + Left CTRL: Change the side light effects (rim RGB light).
• FN + Right CTRL: Change keyboard backlit effects (18 effects available).
• FN + INS (Insert): Increase backlight brightness.
• FN + DEL (Delete): Decrease backlight brightness.

3.2 Typing Experience

The Womier K66 is equipped with Gateron switches, known for their smooth and consistent keystrokes. The unique bottom shell structure is designed to absorb pinging noises, providing a satisfying typing experience. All switches are pre-lubricated for enhanced comfort and sound.

4. Maintenance

4.1 Cleaning the Keyboard

To maintain optimal performance and appearance, regularly clean your Womier K66 keyboard. Use a soft brush or compressed air to remove dust and debris from between the keycaps. For stubborn dirt, gently wipe the keycaps and acrylic body with a damp, lint-free cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.

4.2 Replacing Switches and Keycaps

Thanks to the hot-swappable design, replacing switches and keycaps is straightforward. Use the provided keycap puller to carefully remove keycaps. Then, use the switch puller to remove the Gateron switches. Align new 3-pin or 5-pin switches with the PCB sockets and press firmly until they click into place. Reattach keycaps by pressing them onto the switch stems.

5. Troubleshooting

5.1 Keyboard Not Responding

• Ensure the USB-C cable is securely connected to both the keyboard and your device.
• Try plugging the keyboard into a different USB port on your device.
• Test the keyboard on another computer to rule out a device-specific issue.
• Restart your computer.

5.2 RGB Lighting Issues

• Verify that the keyboard is properly powered.
• Use the FN key combinations (FN + Spacebar, FN + Left CTRL, FN + Right CTRL) to cycle through lighting modes and ensure they are active.
• Adjust brightness using FN + INS/DEL.
• If specific keys are not lighting up, check if the switches are properly seated or if they need replacement.
