3. Initial Setup

3.1. Battery Activation

Your watch comes with a pre-installed battery. If the watch is not running upon arrival, gently push the crown inwards towards the watch case. Some watches may have a small plastic stopper under the crown to preserve battery life during shipping; remove this stopper if present.

3.2. Setting the Time

  1. Pull the crown outwards from the watch case until you feel a click.
  2. Rotate the crown clockwise or counter-clockwise to move the hour and minute hands to the correct time.
  3. Once the time is set, push the crown back into its original position against the watch case. This will start the watch movement.

4. Operating the Watch

4.1. Reading the Time

The Accutime NASA Analog Watch features a standard analog display. The shorter hand indicates the hour, and the longer hand indicates the minute. The dial includes numerical markers for 3, 6, 9, and 12, with dash markers for other hours, ensuring clear readability.

5. Care and Maintenance

5.1. Cleaning

To clean your watch, wipe the case and glass dial with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth. For the silicone strap, a damp cloth with mild soap can be used, followed by drying thoroughly. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.

5.2. Water Resistance

This watch does not specify any degree of water resistance. To prevent damage, avoid exposing the watch to water, moisture, or extreme humidity. Remove the watch before showering, swimming, or engaging in water-related activities.

5.3. Battery Replacement

When the watch stops or begins to lose time, the battery may need replacement. This watch uses a standard watch battery. It is recommended to have the battery replaced by a qualified watch technician to ensure proper sealing and function.

6. Troubleshooting

  • Watch Not Running:
Ensure the crown is fully pushed in against the watch case. If it is, the battery may need replacement.
  • Inaccurate Time:
If the watch is running but displaying incorrect time, reset the time as described in Section 3.2. Persistent inaccuracy may indicate a low battery or a need for servicing.
  • Buttons Not Functioning:
As noted in Section 2, the two smaller buttons on the side of the watch case are decorative and do not have any functional purpose. This is normal operation for this model.
