1. Overview

3. Package Contents

Upon unpacking, please ensure all items listed below are present and in good condition:

4. Setup

1. Unpack and Inspect: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Check for any damage.
2. Clean Components: Wash the stainless steel bowl and food tank (if detachable) with water and mild detergent. Ensure they are completely dry before assembly. Do not wash the base unit.
3. Assemble Feeder: Place the stainless steel bowl into its designated slot. Ensure the food tank is securely attached to the base.
4. Insert Desiccant Bag: Open the desiccant bag compartment in the lid and insert the provided desiccant bag to maintain food freshness. Close the compartment securely.
5. Power Connection: Connect the 5V power adapter to the feeder and plug it into a wall outlet. For backup power, install three D-cell alkaline batteries (not included) in the battery compartment at the bottom of the unit.
6. Fill Food Tank: Open the top lid and fill the food tank with dry pet food. Ensure kibble size is between 2-10mm (0.07-0.4 inches) in diameter to prevent clogging. Close the lid securely.

5. Operating Instructions

1. Setting Current Time: Use the control panel and LCD screen to set the current time. Refer to the User Guide for specific button functions.
2. Programming Feeding Schedule: Set desired meal times and portion sizes (1-9 portions) for up to 4 meals per day using the LCD screen and control buttons.
3. Recording Voice Message: Press and hold the record button to record a 10-second voice message. This message will play before each scheduled meal.
4. Manual Feeding: Most feeders include a manual feed button for dispensing a single portion on demand. Consult your User Guide for this feature.

6. Maintenance

• Cleaning the Bowl: The stainless steel bowl should be removed and cleaned regularly with water and mild soap. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely before placing it back.
• Cleaning the Food Tank: The food tank can be detached and cleaned. Ensure it is completely dry before refilling with food.
• Base Unit: Do not immerse the base unit in water. Wipe it clean with a damp cloth.
• Desiccant Bag Replacement: Replace the desiccant bag every half month (approximately every 15 days) to ensure optimal food freshness. Replacement desiccant bags can be purchased separately (search for "B08NVBYQHV").
• Battery Replacement: If using batteries for backup, change them every 6 months, especially if the feeder is not in regular use with battery power.

7. Troubleshooting

• Food Not Dispensing:
  • Check if the food tank is empty.
  • Ensure kibble size is within the recommended 2-10mm range. Larger kibble may cause clogging.
  • Verify the feeder is powered on and the schedule is correctly set.
  • Check for any obstructions in the food outlet.
• Uneven Dispensing: Ensure the feeder is placed on a level surface. Verify the food tank is not overfilled, which can sometimes affect dispensing consistency.
• Feeder Not Powering On:
  • Check the power adapter connection to both the feeder and the wall outlet.
  • If using batteries, ensure they are correctly installed and have sufficient charge.
• Voice Recording Issues: Ensure the recording button is pressed and held correctly during recording. Playback volume may be adjustable via settings.
