5. Operating Instructions

  1. Fruit Preparation: Chop fruits into small pieces before pressing. This significantly increases juice yield. For apples, a fruit crusher is highly recommended for optimal results.
  2. Loading the Press: Place the prepared fruit pulp into the filter bag inside the wooden basket. Do not overfill.
  3. Positioning Press Components: Place the press plate on top of the fruit pulp, followed by the wooden press blocks. Ensure the central screw rod is aligned.
  4. Pressing: Attach the pole handle bar to the screw mechanism. Slowly turn the handle clockwise to lower the press plate and apply pressure to the fruit pulp. Juice will begin to flow from the spout into the collection tray.
  5. Collecting Juice: Place a suitable container under the spout to collect the extracted juice. Continue pressing until the juice flow significantly reduces.
  6. Releasing Pressure: Turn the handle counter-clockwise to raise the press plate and remove the pressed pomace.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning

  • Immediate Cleaning: Clean all parts immediately after each use to prevent fruit residue from drying and becoming difficult to remove.
  • Hand Wash Only: All components should be hand washed with warm, soapy water. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scrubbers that could damage the wood or metal finishes.
  • Wooden Parts: The wooden basket and blocks should be thoroughly rinsed and allowed to air dry completely before storage. To prolong the life of the wood, consider treating it periodically with food-grade mineral oil.
  • Metal Parts: Clean the screw rod and other metal components. While the screw rod is designed to be rust-resistant, proper drying and occasional lubrication with food-grade oil can prevent corrosion.
  • Filter Bag: Rinse the filter bag thoroughly and allow it to air dry.
  • Storage: Store the disassembled and clean press in a dry, well-ventilated area.
