  2. Wipe the exterior of the machine with a damp cloth.

3.3 Filling the Water Tank

  1. Remove the water tank from the back of the machine.
  2. Fill the tank with fresh, cold drinking water up to the MAX fill line. Do not use hot water or other liquids.
  3. Place the water tank back onto the machine, ensuring it is securely seated.

3.4 Priming the Machine (First Use)

  1. Plug the machine into a grounded electrical outlet.
  2. Press the Power button to turn on the machine. The indicator lights will blink as the machine heats up.
  3. Place a large cup (at least 8 oz) under the coffee outlet.
  4. Once the lights stop blinking and remain solid, press any brew button (e.g., Espresso button) without a capsule inserted.
  5. Allow the machine to dispense water until the tank is empty. This cleans the internal system and primes the pump.
  6. Repeat this process 2-3 times to ensure thorough cleaning and priming.

  3. Lift the brewing lever to open the capsule compartment.
  4. Insert a Nespresso compatible capsule into the compartment.
  5. Close the brewing lever firmly.
  6. Place your desired cup on the drip tray under the coffee outlet.
  7. Press the desired brew button (e.g., Espresso for a short shot, Lungo for a longer shot). The machine will automatically stop when the brewing cycle is complete.
  8. After brewing, lift the brewing lever again to eject the used capsule into the internal collection bin.
  9. Close the lever.

4.2 Using the Milk Frother

Refer to the specific instructions provided with your milk frother accessory for detailed operation. Generally, fill the frother with milk, select the desired frothing option (hot or cold foam), and add the frothed milk to your espresso.

5. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your espresso machine.

5.1 Daily Cleaning

  • Drip Tray: Empty and rinse the drip tray after each use or when the indicator floats up.
  • Used Capsule Container: Empty the used capsule container daily or when full. Rinse with warm water.
  • Water Tank: Rinse the water tank daily and refill with fresh water.
  • Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the machine with a soft, damp cloth.

5.2 Descaling

Descaling is crucial to remove mineral deposits and maintain machine performance. The frequency depends on water hardness and usage, typically every 3-6 months.

  1. Refer to the descaling solution manufacturer's instructions for proper dilution.
  2. Empty the water tank and fill it with the descaling solution.
  3. Place a large container under the coffee outlet.
  4. Run several brewing cycles without a capsule until the water tank is empty.
  5. Rinse the water tank thoroughly and fill with fresh water.
  6. Run several cycles with fresh water to rinse out any remaining descaling solution.
