Operating Instructions
1. Igniting a Burner
The Hisense GM973XF features one-hand integrated ignition:
- Press and turn the corresponding control knob counter-clockwise to the maximum flame setting (large flame symbol).
- Hold the knob down for a few seconds until the flame ignites and stabilizes. This allows the thermocouple to heat up and activate the safety device.
- Once the flame is stable, release the knob. If the flame goes out, repeat the process.

2. Adjusting the Flame
After ignition, you can adjust the flame intensity by turning the control knob between the maximum (large flame) and minimum (small flame) settings. Do not turn the knob past the minimum setting, as this will extinguish the flame.

3. Using the Wok Burner
The central wok burner provides high heat output, ideal for stir-frying and large pots. Ensure you use appropriate cookware, such as a wok with a rounded bottom, for optimal heat distribution. A wok support ring (if supplied) should be used for stability.

Maintenance and Cleaning
Always ensure the hob is cool before cleaning. Disconnect the appliance from the electrical supply before performing any maintenance.
1. Cleaning the Stainless Steel Surface
- The hob features an anti-fingerprint stainless steel finish. Clean regularly with a soft cloth and a mild detergent solution.
- Avoid abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the surface.
- Wipe in the direction of the grain to prevent streaks.
2. Cleaning the Cast Iron Grates
- The cast iron grates are robust and can be removed for cleaning.
- Wash them with warm soapy water. For stubborn food residues, soak them before cleaning.
- Ensure grates are completely dry before placing them back on the hob to prevent rust.
3. Cleaning Burner Components
- Remove burner caps and flame spreaders. Clean them with warm soapy water and a soft brush.
- Ensure the flame holes are not blocked. Use a fine wire or needle to clear any blockages if necessary.
- Allow all components to dry thoroughly before reassembling them. Incorrect assembly can lead to improper flame distribution.
