Operating Instructions

1. Igniting a Burner

The Hisense GM973XF features one-hand integrated ignition:

  1. Press and turn the corresponding control knob counter-clockwise to the maximum flame setting (large flame symbol).
  2. Hold the knob down for a few seconds until the flame ignites and stabilizes. This allows the thermocouple to heat up and activate the safety device.
  3. Once the flame is stable, release the knob. If the flame goes out, repeat the process.

  • Avoid abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the surface.
  • Wipe in the direction of the grain to prevent streaks.

2. Cleaning the Cast Iron Grates

  • The cast iron grates are robust and can be removed for cleaning.
  • Wash them with warm soapy water. For stubborn food residues, soak them before cleaning.
  • Ensure grates are completely dry before placing them back on the hob to prevent rust.

3. Cleaning Burner Components

  • Remove burner caps and flame spreaders. Clean them with warm soapy water and a soft brush.
