Setup and Installation

Your Linkind Solar Motion Sensor Lights can be installed in two ways: ground inserted or wall mounted.

Important Installation Tips:

  • Ensure the solar panel receives direct sunlight for at least 6-8 hours daily for optimal charging.
  • Avoid installing the light under strong artificial light sources (e.g., streetlights) at night, as this may prevent the light from turning on automatically.
  • Do not install in shaded areas or where mutual exposure to other lights might occur.

Ground Insertion:

  1. Select the desired operating mode using the button on the light unit.
  2. Assemble the holder to the light unit.
  3. Connect the ground spike to the assembled unit.
  4. Insert the spike firmly into the ground in your desired location.

Wall Mounting:

  1. Select the desired operating mode using the button on the light unit.
  2. Fix the wall mount bracket to the wall using the provided screws and wall plugs.
  3. Connect the light unit to the fixed wall mount bracket.
  4. Adjust the angle of the light unit to your preference.

Operating Instructions

The Linkind Solar Motion Sensor Lights feature three distinct operating modes, selectable via a button on the unit. The light charges during the day and automatically activates at night based on the selected mode.

Mode Selection:

  • Mode 1 (Soft Light Mode): Provides continuous low-level light throughout the night. The motion sensor is inactive in this mode.
  • Mode 2 (Dim-Bright-Dim Sensor Mode): The light stays at a low intensity. When motion is detected (within 120°/8m), the light brightens to 100% for 20 seconds, then returns to low intensity.
  • Mode 3 (Off-Bright-Off Sensor Mode): The light remains off. When motion is detected (within 120°/8m), the light turns on at 100% brightness for 20 seconds, then turns off completely.

Maintenance

To ensure the optimal performance and longevity of your solar lights, follow these maintenance guidelines:

  • Clean Solar Panel: Regularly wipe the solar panel with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust, dirt, and debris. A clean panel ensures efficient charging.
  • Clear Obstructions: Ensure no trees, bushes, or other objects block direct sunlight from reaching the solar panel, especially during winter months.
  • Battery Care: While the battery is designed for long life, if the light's performance significantly degrades over time, ensure it's receiving adequate sunlight.
  • Weather Resistance: The IP67 rating ensures resistance to rain and dust. However, extreme weather conditions like heavy snow or prolonged sub-zero temperatures might temporarily affect performance.

Troubleshooting

If your Linkind Solar Motion Sensor Light is not functioning as expected, please refer to the following common issues and solutions:

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Light does not turn on at night.Insufficient charging during the day.Ensure the solar panel is in direct sunlight for 6-8 hours. Clean the solar panel.
Light flickers or stays dim.Low battery charge or partial obstruction.Allow for a full day of charging. Check for any objects partially shading the solar panel.
Motion sensor not detecting.Light is in Mode 1 (Soft Light Mode) or sensor is obstructed.Switch to Mode 2 or 3. Ensure the sensor is clear of obstructions and facing the desired detection area.
Light turns off too quickly.Battery charge is low.Ensure the solar panel receives maximum sunlight for a full charge.
