Setup

1. Battery Installation and Charging

The Retevis RB619 walkie talkie uses a 1650mAh Lithium-ion battery. Ensure the battery is fully charged before first use.

  1. Install Battery: If not pre-installed, align the battery with the compartment on the back of the walkie talkie and press firmly until it clicks into place.
  2. Charge using 6-Port Charger:
    • Connect the 6-port charger's power adapter to a suitable power outlet.
    • Place the walkie talkie units into the charging slots. Ensure they are seated correctly.
    • The independent pilot lamp for each slot will indicate charging status: Red for Charging, Green for Charging Completed.

  3. Charge using USB-C: Connect a USB-C cable to the earpiece/charging port on the side of the walkie talkie and to a USB power source.

2. Attaching the Belt Clip

The belt clip allows for convenient carrying. Align the belt clip with the designated grooves on the back of the walkie talkie and slide it down until it locks into place.

3. Attaching the Earpiece

Insert the earpiece jack into the earpiece/charging port on the side of the walkie talkie until it is securely connected.

Operating Instructions

1. Power On/Off and Volume Adjustment

Rotate the On/Off/Volume knob clockwise to power on the walkie talkie. Continue rotating clockwise to increase the volume. Rotate counter-clockwise to decrease volume and power off.

2. Channel Selection

Use the Up and Down buttons to select your desired channel. Ensure all walkie talkies intended for communication are set to the same channel and CTCSS/DCS code.

3. Transmitting and Receiving

  1. To transmit, press and hold the PTT (Push-to-Talk) button. Speak clearly into the microphone.
  2. Release the PTT button to stop transmitting and return to receive mode.
  3. When receiving, the speaker will emit audio.

4. Using VOX Function

The VOX (Voice Operated Exchange) function allows hands-free transmission. When VOX is enabled, the walkie talkie will automatically transmit when it detects your voice.

  2. Navigate to the VOX setting using the Up/Down buttons.
  3. Select the desired VOX sensitivity level (usually 1-9, with 9 being most sensitive).
