4. Setup
Before first use, ensure the jack is properly assembled and prepared.
- Handle Assembly: Connect the two handle pieces together. Insert the assembled handle into the handle socket on the jack.
- Secure Handle: Turn the handle clockwise to the end and tighten the socket screw to secure the handle firmly in place.
- Purge Air from Hydraulic System: Before initial use, or if the jack has been stored for an extended period, it is recommended to purge any air from the hydraulic system. To do this, open the release valve by turning the handle counter-clockwise. Pump the handle rapidly several times. Close the release valve by turning the handle clockwise.

5. Operating Instructions
Follow these steps for safe and effective operation of your floor jack.
- Prepare the Vehicle: Park the vehicle on a hard, level surface. Engage the parking brake and block the wheels that will remain on the ground.
- Position the Jack: Locate the vehicle's designated lifting points (refer to your vehicle's owner's manual). Position the jack so that the saddle is directly under the lifting point. Ensure the jack is on a stable surface.
- Raise the Vehicle: Close the release valve by turning the handle clockwise until it is firm. Pump the handle up and down to raise the saddle to the desired height. Lift only high enough to place jack stands.
- Secure with Jack Stands: Once the vehicle is lifted, immediately place appropriately rated jack stands under the vehicle's designated support points. Slowly open the release valve by turning the handle counter-clockwise to lower the vehicle onto the jack stands. Ensure the vehicle is stable on the jack stands before performing any work.
- Lower the Vehicle: When work is complete, lift the vehicle slightly off the jack stands using the floor jack. Remove the jack stands. Slowly and carefully open the release valve by turning the handle counter-clockwise to lower the vehicle completely to the ground. Once fully lowered, remove the jack.
6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your hydraulic floor jack.
- Lubrication: Periodically lubricate all moving parts with light machine oil.
- Hydraulic Fluid: Check the hydraulic fluid level regularly. If low, add high-quality hydraulic jack oil. Do not use brake fluid or other types of oil. To check/add fluid, ensure the jack is fully lowered and on a level surface. Remove the oil filler plug. The fluid level should be just below the filler hole.
- Cleaning: Keep the jack clean and free of dirt, grease, and corrosive materials.
- Storage: Store the jack in a dry, clean area with the ram fully retracted (jack fully lowered).
- Inspection: Regularly inspect for any signs of damage, wear, or leaks. Pay close attention to welds, casters, and the hydraulic cylinder.
