Setup
- Battery Installation:
- Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the radio.
- Slide or unclip the cover to open it.
- Insert 3 "AA" size batteries, ensuring the correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.
- Antenna Extension:
- For optimal FM reception, gently extend the telescopic antenna to its full length.
- For AM reception, the internal antenna is typically sufficient, but adjusting the radio's orientation may improve signal strength.
Operating Instructions
- Power On/Off:
- Locate the power switch, often integrated with the volume control. Turn the knob clockwise to power on the radio and increase volume. Turn counter-clockwise to decrease volume and power off.
- Band Selection (FM/AM):
- Use the "FM/AM" switch or button to select your desired radio band.
- Tuning to a Station:
- Rotate the tuning dial (usually a large knob on the side or front) to scan through frequencies.
- The tuning light indicator will illuminate or brighten when a strong signal is detected, assisting in precise tuning.
- Volume Control:
- Adjust the volume knob to your preferred listening level.
- Headphone Use:
- Plug standard 3.5mm headphones into the headphone jack for private listening. The internal speaker will automatically mute when headphones are connected.
