Setup Instructions
- Initial Cleaning: Before first use, disassemble all parts of the fountain (except the pump's electrical components) and wash them thoroughly with water and mild soap. Rinse all parts completely to remove any soap residue.
- Assemble the Pump: Ensure the pump is clean. Attach the silicone hose to the pump outlet. Do not remove the silicone hose from the pump.
- Place the Pump: Place the assembled pump into the designated slot at the bottom of the main water reservoir. Ensure the power cord is routed through the cable channel to prevent pinching.
- Install the Filter: Rinse the new filter cartridge under running water for a few minutes to remove any loose carbon dust. Place the rinsed filter into the filter tray, ensuring it sits securely.
- Assemble the Faucet Kit: If using the faucet mode, assemble the faucet parts. You can adjust the height by adding or removing the middle section of the faucet. Insert the assembled faucet into the hole on the top cover.
- Fill with Water: Fill the main reservoir with clean water up to the "MAX" line. Do not overfill. The 1.5L capacity is suitable for various pets.
- Place Top Cover: Carefully place the top cover onto the main reservoir, ensuring it is properly aligned and seated.
- Connect Power: Connect the USB cable from the pump to a standard 5V/1A USB power adapter (not included) and plug it into a wall outlet. The fountain should begin operating.
Operating Instructions
The NPET WF050TP fountain offers two primary drinking modes to suit your pet's preferences:
- Faucet Mode: This mode mimics a running tap, which can be highly appealing to cats and some dogs, encouraging them to drink more. The height of the faucet can be adjusted during assembly.
- Spring Surge Mode: Without the faucet attachment, the water bubbles up from the center, creating a gentle spring-like flow.
The fountain operates continuously when plugged in. Monitor the water level regularly through the transparent tank. Refill water when it reaches the "MIN" line to ensure continuous operation and prevent pump damage.

Emergency Water Storage
The fountain is designed with a small emergency water storage area (approximately 200ml / 6.8oz) in the top tray. This ensures your pet has access to some water even in the event of a power outage, providing peace of mind.

Quiet Operation
The NPET WF050TP fountain is designed for ultra-quiet operation, typically producing noise levels around 40dB, which is quieter than a whisper. This low noise level ensures a peaceful environment for both you and your pets.

Maintenance
Regular cleaning and maintenance are crucial for the longevity of your fountain and the health of your pet. Neglecting cleaning can lead to pump clogging and reduced water quality.
Daily Maintenance
- Check the water level and refill as needed.
- Remove any visible debris, pet hair, or food particles from the water tray.
Weekly Cleaning (Recommended)
- Unplug the fountain from the power outlet.
- Disassemble all parts: top cover, filter tray, filter, pump, and main reservoir.
- Wash all parts (except the pump's electrical components) with water and mild soap. Use the provided cleaning brush to clean hard-to-reach areas and the inside of the faucet.
- Rinse all components thoroughly to ensure no soap residue remains.
- Clean the pump (see detailed instructions below).
- Reassemble the fountain and refill with fresh water.
Filter Replacement
The 3-layer filter system (sponge, ion exchange resin, activated carbon) helps remove impurities, soften water, and eliminate odors. Replace the filter cartridge every 2-4 weeks, or more frequently if you have multiple pets or notice reduced water quality.
- Always rinse a new filter under running water before placing it in the fountain.
Pump Cleaning (Every 2 Weeks Recommended)
Regular cleaning of the pump is essential to extend its lifespan and maintain optimal water flow. Pet hair and debris can easily clog the pump.
- Step 1: Remove the pump cover. Gently pry off the front cover of the pump.
- Step 2: Remove the impeller cover. Locate the small cover protecting the impeller and remove it.
- Step 3: Remove the impeller. Carefully pull out the impeller (a small rotor with blades) from its housing.
- Step 4: Clean all parts with clean water. Use the provided cleaning brush to thoroughly clean the impeller, its housing, and all internal parts of the pump. Remove any hair, slime, or debris.
- Reassemble the pump by reversing the steps. Ensure the impeller is properly seated and the covers click securely into place.
