1. Introduction and Overview

The ALORAIR PureAiro HEPA Max 870 is a professional-grade air scrubber designed for effective air purification in various environments. It features a robust 3-stage filtration system and is built for durability and portability.

2. Setup

2.1 Unpacking

Carefully remove the PureAiro HEPA Max 870 from its packaging. Inspect the unit for any signs of damage during transit. Ensure all components are present.

2.2 Filter Installation

The unit comes with a 3-stage filtration system. Ensure filters are correctly installed before operation. No tools are required to replace the filters.

2.3 Ducting (Optional)

The unit is compatible with optional ducting for both inlet (14") and outlet (8") to create negative pressure environments or direct airflow. Ducting is not included.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Powering On/Off

Connect the unit to a standard 115V AC power outlet. Use the ON/OFF switch on the control panel to power the unit.

3.2 Variable Speed Control

Adjust the variable speed knob on the control panel to set the desired airflow (270-550 CFM). Turn the knob clockwise to increase speed and counter-clockwise to decrease speed.

3.3 Daisy Chain Operation

The unit features auxiliary GFCI duplex outlets. You can connect up to three ALORAIR PureAiro HEPA Max 870 units in a daisy chain configuration to cover larger areas or increase airflow. Ensure not to exceed the maximum amperage rating (12 Amps max with this unit off, 9.0 Amps max with this unit on).

4. Maintenance

4.1 Filter Replacement

The "Change HEPA Filter" indicator light on the control panel will illuminate when it's time to replace the filters. To replace, unlatch the front panel, remove the old filters, and insert new ones. Ensure the filters are placed in the correct order (pre-filter first, then activated carbon/HEPA filter).

4.2 Power Cord Replacement

If the power cord needs replacement, follow these steps:

  1. Remove the six screws on the control panel and open it. Carefully remove the three wires connected to the power cord.
  2. Pry out the power cord clamp, then remove the cord clamp, and unplug the power cord.
  3. Replace the power cord with a new one. Unscrew the four screws on the front panel, open the front panel, and take out the two filters.
  4. Remove the UV light, remove the eight screws around the fan panel, and open the fan panel.
  5. Thread the wires into the electric control box, arrange the wires, and then connect the wires.
  6. Close the control panel and install six screws. Cover the fan panel, install eight screws, and install the UV light.
  7. Put back the two filters, close the front panel, and lock the buckles.

5. Troubleshooting

If the unit fails to power on, check the circuit breaker on the control panel. If it has tripped, reset it. Ensure the power cord is securely connected to a functioning outlet. If the "Change HEPA Filter" light is on, replace the filters to restore optimal performance and airflow.
