The MiniRider Lite is designed for personal mobility, offering the stability of a 4-wheel scooter with enhanced maneuverability. It features a padded swivel seat with adjustable armrests and a robust design to support users up to 280 lbs.

2. Safety Guidelines

Always prioritize safety when operating your mobility scooter. Adhere to the following guidelines:

  • Do not operate the scooter under the influence of alcohol or medication.
  • Ensure the battery is fully charged before each use.
  • Always use the scooter on stable, level surfaces. Avoid steep inclines beyond the specified climbing angle.
  • Keep hands and feet clear of moving parts.
  • Do not exceed the maximum user weight capacity of 280 lbs.
  • Be aware of your surroundings and other pedestrians or vehicles.

3.3 Initial Battery Charge

Before first use, fully charge the scooter's battery. Connect the 2A Off-Board charger to the charging port on the scooter and then to a standard wall outlet. The charging indicator will show when the battery is fully charged. An initial charge may take several hours.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Controls

Familiarize yourself with the control panel, typically located on the tiller. This includes the on/off switch, speed adjustment dial, and forward/reverse levers.

4.2 Driving

To move forward, gently press the forward lever. To reverse, press the reverse lever. Adjust the speed dial to control your maximum speed, up to 4 mph. The scooter has a tight turning radius of 52 inches, allowing for good maneuverability in narrow spaces.

4.3 Swivel Seat Adjustment

The padded seat can swivel for easier access and egress. Locate the swivel lever or button beneath the seat and engage it to rotate the seat. The armrests can also be flipped up or adjusted laterally for comfort.

5. Battery Information

5.1 Charging

Always use the provided 2A Off-Board charger. Charge the battery in a well-ventilated area. Avoid overcharging by disconnecting the charger once the battery is full. Regular charging helps maintain battery life.

5.2 Range

The operating range depends on the battery capacity and usage conditions:

  • With a 12V 12AH SLA Battery: Up to 9-10 miles per charge.
  • With a 12V 18AH SLA Battery (optional): Up to 18 miles per charge.

Factors such as user weight, terrain, and speed can affect the actual range.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning

Clean the scooter regularly with a damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or direct water spray, which can damage electrical components.

6.2 Storage

When not in use for extended periods, store the scooter in a dry, cool place. Ensure the battery is fully charged before storage and periodically recharge it every few weeks to prevent deep discharge.

6.3 Tire Care

The scooter is equipped with durable 200X50 PU (Polyurethane) tires, which are puncture-resistant and require minimal maintenance. Periodically check for debris or damage.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your scooter, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • Scooter does not power on: Check battery connection and ensure the battery is charged. Verify the on/off switch is engaged.
  • Reduced range: Ensure the battery is fully charged. Battery performance can degrade over time; consider battery replacement if range significantly decreases.
  • Unusual noises: Inspect for loose components or obstructions around the wheels and motor.

For persistent issues, contact EV Rider customer support.
