2. Product Overview
The CAMRY CR 1290 is a versatile glass kettle designed for heating water and brewing tea. It features a durable glass body, a removable stainless steel tea infuser, and precise temperature control.

3. Setup and First Use
- Unpacking: Carefully remove the kettle and all accessories from the packaging. Retain packaging for future storage or disposal.
- Initial Cleaning: Before first use, fill the kettle with clean water up to the MAX level. Boil the water and then discard it. Repeat this process 2-3 times to remove any manufacturing residues. Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth.
- Positioning: Place the power base on a dry, flat, and stable surface away from the edge of the countertop. Ensure the power cord is not dangling or in contact with hot surfaces.
- Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1. Boiling Water
- Fill the Kettle: Open the lid and fill the kettle with the desired amount of fresh water. Do not fill below MIN or above MAX (2.0L). Close the lid securely.
- Place on Base: Place the kettle firmly on the power base.
- Select Temperature: Press the power button (⏻) once to turn on. Use the temperature selection buttons (+ / -) on the handle to choose your desired temperature (60°C, 70°C, 80°C, 90°C, 100°C). The LED illumination will change color to indicate the selected temperature.
- Start Heating: The kettle will automatically start heating the water to the selected temperature. The LED light will remain illuminated during heating.

- Automatic Shut-off: Once the water reaches the set temperature, the kettle will automatically switch off, and the LED light will turn off or switch to keep-warm mode if activated.
4.2. Using the Tea Infuser
The removable tea infuser allows for direct brewing of loose leaf tea or herbal infusions within the kettle.
- Prepare Infuser: Open the lid and place your desired amount of loose leaf tea or herbs into the stainless steel infuser basket.
- Insert Infuser: Securely attach the infuser to the lid or place it directly into the kettle, ensuring it is properly seated.
- Fill and Heat: Fill the kettle with water and select the appropriate temperature for your tea (e.g., 80°C for green tea, 90°C for black tea).
- Brewing: Allow the tea to steep for the recommended time.
- Remove Infuser: Once brewing is complete, carefully remove the lid with the infuser attached to prevent over-steeping.

4.3. Keep Warm Function
The kettle features a 2-hour keep warm function to maintain the water at the selected temperature.
- After selecting a temperature and the kettle reaches it, the keep warm function can be activated (refer to specific button on control panel, usually a separate press or a long press of the power button after reaching temperature).
- The kettle will cycle on and off to maintain the water temperature for up to 2 hours.
- To deactivate, press the power button again or lift the kettle from its base.
5. Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your kettle.
- Before Cleaning: Always unplug the kettle from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely.
- Exterior Cleaning: Wipe the exterior of the kettle and the power base with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
- Interior Cleaning: The interior of the kettle can be cleaned with a soft brush or sponge. Rinse thoroughly with clean water.
- Tea Infuser Cleaning: Remove the tea infuser and rinse it under running water. Use a small brush if necessary to remove tea leaves. It is dishwasher safe.
- Descaling: Over time, mineral deposits (limescale) may build up inside the kettle, especially in hard water areas.
- Fill the kettle with a mixture of water and white vinegar (1:1 ratio) or a commercial descaling solution.
- Boil the mixture and let it stand for at least 30 minutes, or longer for heavy deposits.
- Discard the mixture and rinse the kettle thoroughly several times with fresh water.
- Boil fresh water 2-3 times and discard to remove any residual vinegar taste.
