1. Introduction

2. Setup

2.1. Battery Installation

The Konus Range-2 requires a Lithium battery for its rangefinding function. Batteries are not included with the product.

1. Locate the battery compartment, typically found on the underside or side of the binocular body.
2. Unscrew or open the battery compartment cover.
3. Insert the Lithium battery, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
4. Securely close the battery compartment cover.

2.2. Adjusting Eyecups and Focus

1. Eyecup Adjustment: Rotate or extend the eyecups to a comfortable position. If you wear eyeglasses, keep the eyecups retracted. If you do not wear eyeglasses, extend them to block out peripheral light.
2. Interpupillary Distance Adjustment: Hold the binocular with both hands and bend the body until you see a single, clear circular field of view.
3. Diopter Adjustment: Close your right eye and look through the left eyepiece. Rotate the central focus wheel until the image is sharp. Then, close your left eye and look through the right eyepiece (diopter ring). Rotate the diopter ring until the image is sharp. Now, both eyepieces are adjusted for your vision.
4. Fine Focusing: For subsequent use, simply use the central focus wheel to adjust for different distances.

3.1. Using the Binocular Function

The 10x magnification and 42mm objective lenses provide bright, clear images. Once the eyecups and focus are adjusted as described in Section 2.2, simply aim the binocular at your desired subject and use the central focus wheel for fine-tuning the image clarity.

3.2. Using the Rangefinder Function

The built-in rangefinder accurately measures distances, making it ideal for various outdoor activities.

1. Power On: Press the power button (usually located near the top of the binocular) to activate the rangefinder. An reticle or indicator will appear in the field of view.
2. Aim: Aim the reticle at the target whose distance you wish to measure.
