Setup Instructions

1. Battery Installation

The SMARTRO K28 scale requires 4 AAA batteries (included). Before first use, or when the "LO" indicator appears, install or replace the batteries.

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the scale.
  2. Open the battery compartment cover.
  3. Important: Remove any plastic insulating strips from the battery terminals if present. These strips prevent battery drain during storage and shipping.
  4. Insert 4 AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
  5. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

2. Initial Placement

Place the scale on a hard, flat, and stable surface to ensure accurate readings. Avoid placing it on soft or uneven surfaces.

The scale supports 7 measurement units. To switch between units, press the "UNIT" button repeatedly until the desired unit is displayed.

3. Tare Function

The tare function allows you to subtract the weight of a container, enabling you to weigh only the ingredients.

  1. Place an empty container on the scale. The display will show its weight.
  2. Press the "ON/TARE" button. The display will reset to "0" or "0.0".
  3. Add your ingredients to the container. The display will show the net weight of the ingredients.

2. Storage

Store the scale in a cool, dry place. Its compact dimensions make it suitable for drawer storage.

Troubleshooting
