2. Safety Instructions
To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury when using your ice maker, follow these basic safety precautions:
- Read all instructions before use.
- Do not touch the evaporator or ice cubes when the unit is operating.
- Do not immerse the appliance, power cord, or plug in water or other liquids.
- Unplug the appliance from the power outlet when not in use and before cleaning.
- Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner.
- The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the manufacturer may cause injuries.
- Do not use outdoors.
- Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
- Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
- Ensure the appliance is placed on a stable, level surface to prevent tipping.
- This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
- Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
- Do not use the appliance for other than intended household use.
3. Product Components
Familiarize yourself with the parts of your tectake Ice Maker:
- Main Unit: Houses the compressor, water tank, and ice-making mechanism.
- Control Panel: Features indicator lights and buttons for operation.
- Transparent Viewing Window: Located on the lid, allows you to monitor ice production without opening.
- Ice Basket: Removable basket for collecting produced ice cubes.
- Ice Scoop: For hygienic handling and serving of ice cubes.
- Water Drain Plug: Located at the bottom for easy water drainage during cleaning.
4. Setup
Follow these steps for initial setup:
4.1 Unpacking
- Carefully remove all packaging materials.
- Check that all accessories (ice basket, ice scoop) are present.
- Inspect the appliance for any damage. If damaged, do not use and contact your retailer.
4.2 Placement
- Place the ice maker on a flat, stable, and heat-resistant surface.
- Ensure there is adequate ventilation around the unit (at least 10 cm clearance on all sides) to allow heat dissipation. Do not block the ventilation openings.
- Keep the appliance away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and corrosive gases.
4.3 Initial Cleaning
- Before first use, clean the interior of the ice maker, the ice basket, and the ice scoop with a soft cloth and mild detergent.
- Rinse thoroughly with clean water.
- Wipe dry with a clean cloth.
5. Operating Instructions
Follow these steps to operate your ice maker:
5.1 Filling the Water Tank
- Open the lid and remove the ice basket.
- Fill the water tank with potable water up to the MAX fill line. Do not overfill.
- Replace the ice basket and close the lid.
5.2 Powering On and Ice Production
- Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet (AC 220-240V / 50 Hz).
- Press the ON/OFF button on the control panel to turn on the appliance. The Power indicator light will illuminate.
- The ice maker will automatically begin the ice-making cycle. The first batch of ice cubes will be ready in approximately 5-13 minutes.
- You can select between two ice cube sizes (small or large) by pressing the SELECT button. The corresponding indicator light will illuminate.

5.3 Indicator Lights and Alarms
- ADD WATER: This light will illuminate and an audible alarm will sound when the water tank is low. Refill the water tank to resume ice production.
- ICE FULL: This light will illuminate and an audible alarm will sound when the ice basket is full. Remove ice from the basket to continue production.
5.4 Collecting Ice
- Once ice cubes are formed, they will drop into the ice basket.
- Use the provided ice scoop to remove ice from the basket.
- For best results, transfer ice to a freezer for storage if not used immediately, as the ice maker is not a freezer and ice will melt over time.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and hygiene:
6.1 Daily Cleaning
- After each use, unplug the appliance.
- Drain any remaining water from the reservoir by removing the drain plug at the bottom of the unit.
- Wipe the interior with a soft cloth.

6.2 Periodic Deep Cleaning
- For thorough cleaning, prepare a solution of water and vinegar (10:1 ratio) or a mild descaling agent.
- Pour the solution into the water tank and run a few ice-making cycles (do not consume this ice).
- Drain the solution completely.
- Rinse the water tank and interior thoroughly with clean water several times to remove any residue.
- Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
6.3 Storage
- Ensure the appliance is completely dry before storing.
- Store in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and out of reach of children.

If you encounter issues with your ice maker, refer to the following table:
