Operating Instructions
Basic Operation:
- Add Ingredients: Place your ingredients and liquids into the inner pot. Do not exceed the MAX fill line (2/3 full for most foods, 1/2 full for expanding foods like rice).
- Close Lid: Place the lid on the multicooker and turn it clockwise until it locks into place. Ensure the pressure release valve is set to the "Sealing" position for pressure cooking.
- Select Program: Use the control panel to select your desired pre-set program (e.g., Rice, Soup, Meat, Stew). The display will show the default cooking time and pressure level.
- Adjust Settings (Optional): For programs that allow it, use the '+' and '-' buttons to adjust cooking time, pressure, or temperature.
- Start Cooking: Press the "Start" button. The multicooker will begin preheating. Once pressure is reached (for pressure cooking programs), the cooking timer will begin counting down.
- End of Cooking: Once cooking is complete, the appliance will beep and automatically switch to the "Keep Warm" function (if enabled).
- Release Pressure:
- Natural Release: Allow the pressure to release naturally. This is recommended for foamy foods or large cuts of meat. The float valve will drop on its own.
- Quick Release: Carefully turn the pressure release valve to the "Venting" position. Steam will rapidly escape. Keep hands and face away from the steam. Only use for foods that do not foam.
- Open Lid: Once the float valve has dropped and all pressure is released, turn the lid counter-clockwise and lift it carefully away from you to avoid residual steam.
Using Special Functions:
- Delayed Start: Set a timer for cooking to begin at a later time (up to 24 hours).
- Keep Warm: Automatically maintains food temperature after cooking. Can be manually activated.
- My Recipes: Save up to three of your favorite customized cooking programs for quick access.
