4. Setup and Installation

The D153VG-CM03 is designed for surface-mounted installation on lockers or cabinets. The primary installation step involves securely attaching the strike plate to the cabinet frame to enable the locking mechanism.

Installation Steps:

1. Prepare the Surface: Ensure the locker or cabinet door and frame are clean, dry, and free of obstructions.
2. Position the Lock Unit: Place the main electronic lock unit on the desired position on the cabinet door. Mark the drilling points for the mounting screws and the spindle hole.
3. Drill Holes: Carefully drill the marked holes. Refer to the detailed installation manual for precise measurements and drill bit sizes.

5. Operating Instructions

The Guub D153VG-CM03 operates in Public Mode, meaning users can set a temporary passcode for each use.

5.1. Initial Setup / Administrator Passcode

Upon first use or after a factory reset, the lock may have a default administrator passcode. Refer to the specific installation manual for this default code. The administrator passcode is used to set or change user passcodes and manage lock settings.

5.2. Locking the Cabinet/Locker

1. Close the cabinet/locker door securely.
2. Enter your desired 4-8 digit passcode on the keypad.

Note: In Public Mode, the passcode entered to lock the unit becomes the unlock code for that specific use.

Note: After unlocking, the previously set passcode is cleared, and the lock is ready for a new user to set a new passcode.
