3. Setup

3.1 Unpacking

  • Carefully remove the iron from its packaging.
  • Remove any protective films or stickers from the soleplate.
  • Keep packaging materials out of reach of children.

3.2 Filling the Water Tank

  1. Ensure the iron is unplugged from the power outlet.
  2. Remove the transparent water tank by gently pulling it out.
  3. Fill the water tank with clean tap water up to the 'MAX' level indicator. For areas with hard water, consider using a mixture of tap water and distilled water (50/50) to prolong the life of the anti-calc system.
  4. Reinsert the water tank firmly until it clicks into place.

3.3 Initial Use

  • Plug the iron into a suitable power outlet.
  • Set the temperature control dial to the maximum setting.
  • Allow the iron to heat up until the indicator light turns off, signaling it has reached the desired temperature.
  • For the first use, iron an old piece of fabric to remove any manufacturing residues. Steam may be released during this process.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Temperature Selection

  • Refer to the fabric care label on your garment.
  • Turn the temperature control dial to the appropriate setting for the fabric type (e.g., synthetic, silk, wool, cotton, linen).
  • Always start with lower temperatures for delicate fabrics and increase as needed.

4.2 Steam Ironing

  • Ensure the water tank is filled.
  • Set the temperature control dial to a steam-suitable setting (usually indicated by steam symbols on the dial).
  • Once the indicator light turns off, press the steam button for continuous variable steam up to 30 g/min.
  • For stubborn creases, use the Power Steam Shot function (up to 85 g/min) by pressing the steam shot button. Wait a few seconds between shots to allow the iron to reheat.
  • The NonDrip anti-drip function prevents water stains at low temperatures.

4.3 Dry Ironing

  • Ensure the water tank is empty or the steam function is turned off.
  • Set the temperature control dial to the desired setting.
  • Proceed with ironing as usual.

4.4 Vertical Steaming

The iron can be used for vertical steaming of hanging garments or curtains.

  1. Hang the garment on a hanger.
  2. Hold the iron vertically a few centimeters away from the fabric.
  3. Press the steam shot button to release bursts of steam.

5. Maintenance and Cleaning

5.1 Self-Cleaning Function

The iron features a self-cleaning function to remove mineral deposits and maintain optimal steam performance. Perform this function regularly, especially in hard water areas.

  1. Fill the water tank to the MAX level.
  2. Plug in the iron and set the temperature to maximum.
  3. Once the indicator light turns off, unplug the iron.
  4. Hold the iron horizontally over a sink.
  5. Press and hold the Self-Clean button. Hot water and steam will be expelled from the soleplate, carrying impurities with it.
  6. Continue until the water tank is empty.
  7. Plug the iron back in and let it heat up to dry the soleplate.

5.2 Anti-Calc System

The integrated anti-calc system helps to reduce limescale build-up. Regular self-cleaning further supports this system.

5.3 Cleaning the Soleplate

  • Ensure the iron is unplugged and completely cool.
  • Wipe the soleplate with a damp cloth and a non-abrasive cleaner if necessary.
  • Do not use abrasive pads or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the soleplate.

5.4 Storage

  • Always empty the water tank after each use.
  • Allow the iron to cool down completely.
  • Wrap the power cord around the designated rubber storage area.
