Cleaning the Air Filter

To ensure optimal performance and air quality, the removable and reusable air filter should be cleaned weekly. This helps protect your family and living space from dust and pet hairs, and extends the life of the unit.

Draining Water

The unit collects moisture during dehumidification and cooling. It features a self-evaporating system, reducing the need for frequent manual draining. However, if the internal water tank becomes full, the unit will shut off and require draining. There are two drain options: a lower drain plug for full tank drainage (may require elevating the unit) and a continuous drain port (mid-unit) for attaching a drain hose (included) for continuous water removal. Monitor the continuous drain to prevent overflow.

7. Troubleshooting

If your Midea Portable Air Conditioner is not operating as expected, please refer to the following common issues and solutions:

  • Unit Not Cooling: Check if the exhaust hose is properly installed and unkinked. Ensure the air filter is clean. Verify the set temperature is lower than the room temperature.
  • Unit is Noisy: Some operational noise is normal. Ensure the unit is on a flat, stable surface. Check for any obstructions around the air intake or exhaust.
  • Water Leakage/Full Tank Indicator: If the unit stops operating and indicates a full tank, drain the collected water using the drain plugs. For continuous operation in high humidity, use the continuous drain feature with the provided hose.
  • Remote Control Not Working: Check the batteries in the remote control. Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and the unit's sensor.

For persistent issues not resolved by these steps, please contact Midea customer support.
