3. Setup and Installation
Unpacking
Carefully remove all packaging materials, including any protective films or foam inserts, from the washing machine and its accessories. Retain packaging for potential future transport.
Location
Place the washing machine on a firm, level surface to prevent vibration and noise during operation. Ensure there is adequate space around the machine for ventilation and maintenance. Avoid direct sunlight and areas with high humidity.
Water Supply Connection
- Connect the water inlet hose to the water tap. Ensure a tight connection to prevent leaks.
- Connect the other end of the inlet hose to the water inlet valve on the back of the washing machine.
- Open the water tap fully and check for any leaks.
Drainage
Position the drain hose correctly to allow for proper water discharge. The drain hose should be securely placed in a drain pipe or sink, ensuring it is not kinked or blocked. The height of the drain hose should be between 60 cm and 90 cm from the floor.
Power Connection
Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet. Ensure the voltage and frequency of your power supply match the specifications of the washing machine.
4. Operating Instructions
Loading Laundry
Open the top lid and place laundry loosely into the tub. Do not overload the machine; ensure there is enough space for the clothes to move freely during washing. Close the lid securely.
Adding Detergent and Softener
Add the appropriate amount of detergent and fabric softener to their respective dispensers. Refer to the detergent packaging for recommended quantities based on load size and water hardness.
Selecting a Wash Program
Press the Power button to turn on the machine. Use the program selection dial or buttons to choose the desired wash program. Available programs may include:
- Standard: For daily cotton and mixed fabrics.
- Speed Wash: For lightly soiled items or when a quick wash is needed.
- Other specialized programs as indicated on the control panel.
Starting the Wash Cycle
After selecting the program, press the Start/Pause button to begin the wash cycle. The machine will automatically fill with water, wash, rinse, and spin.
Ending the Wash Cycle
The machine will emit an audible signal when the wash cycle is complete. Open the lid and remove your laundry promptly to prevent wrinkles.
5. Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your washing machine.
Exterior Cleaning
Wipe the exterior of the machine with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the surface.
Tub Cleaning
Periodically run a tub clean cycle (if available) or a hot wash cycle with a washing machine cleaner to remove detergent residue and prevent odors.
Lint Filter Cleaning
Locate the lint filter (usually inside the tub or agitator) and remove any accumulated lint or debris after every few washes. Rinse the filter under running water and reinsert it.
Water Inlet Filter Cleaning
If water filling is slow, the water inlet filter may be clogged. Turn off the water supply, disconnect the inlet hose, and clean the filter screen with a brush. Reconnect the hose and turn on the water supply.
