5. Setup

5.1 Power Connection

  1. Locate the DC 5V USB-C port on the rear panel of the mixer.
  2. Connect the provided USB cable to the mixer and to a compatible 5V power source (e.g., computer USB port, power bank, or 5V phone charger).
  3. The 'Pow' indicator light will illuminate, indicating the mixer is receiving power.

5.2 Audio Input Connections

  1. Connect your audio sources (e.g., microphones, guitars, bass, keyboards, media players) to the INPUT 1-8 jacks using 1/4-inch TRS or TS cables.
  2. For stereo input, use 1/4-inch (6.35mm) TRS stereo audio male-to-male cables and ensure the corresponding Mono/Stereo switch is set to 'Stereo'.
  3. For mono input, use 1/4-inch TS cables and ensure the corresponding Mono/Stereo switch is set to 'Mono'.

5.3 Audio Output Connections

  1. Connect the OUTPUT A and/or OUTPUT B jacks to your amplifier, powered speakers, or recording device using 1/4-inch TRS cables.
  2. Ensure all connections are secure before proceeding to operation.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Powering On/Off

The mixer powers on automatically when connected to a 5V power source. Disconnect the power cable to turn off the unit.

6.2 Adjusting Channel Levels

  1. Turn all LEVEL knobs (1-8) and OUTPUT A/B knobs to their minimum position before playing any audio.
  2. Start playing audio from your connected source.
  3. Slowly increase the LEVEL knob for the corresponding input channel until the desired volume is achieved.
  4. Adjust the OUTPUT A/B knobs to control the overall master volume.

6.3 Stereo/Mono Mode Selection

Use the Mono/Stereo switches above each channel to select the desired mode. For stereo operation, ensure you are using TRS cables for both input and output and the switch is set to 'Stereo'. For mono operation, set the switch to 'Mono'.

6.4 Mixing Multiple Sources

The MAMX3 allows you to mix up to eight line-level signals. Adjust each channel's LEVEL knob independently to create your desired mix. The Channel Output Mix L-R switch can combine channels 1-4 and 5-8 into a single stereo output for simplified routing.

7. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the mixer. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or waxes.
  • Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the mixer in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Cable Care: Always handle cables by the connector, not the wire. Avoid bending or crimping cables excessively.
