Setup

1. Charging the Device

Before first use, fully charge the BC980P speakerphone. Connect the provided USB charging cable to the Type-C port on the device and plug the other end into the USB car charger or any standard USB power adapter. A full charge typically takes about 2 hours.

2. Mounting the Speakerphone

The BC980P is designed to be clipped onto your car's sun visor for optimal microphone and speaker placement. Simply slide the integrated clip over the edge of the sun visor.

3. Bluetooth Pairing

  1. Ensure the BC980P is charged and powered on. You will hear a "Power On" voice prompt.
  2. The device will automatically enter pairing mode, indicated by a "Pairing" voice prompt.
  3. On your mobile phone, go to Bluetooth settings and turn Bluetooth on.
  4. Search for "BC980P" in the list of available devices and select it to connect.
  5. Once successfully paired, you will hear a "Connected" voice prompt.

Operating Instructions

Power On/Off

  • Manual Power On/Off: Use the ON/OFF switch on the side of the device.
  • Automatic Power On/Off: The BC980P features a built-in vibration sensor. It will automatically power on and reconnect to your phone when it detects car door opening or vibration. It will also auto sleep/off if out of Bluetooth range (10 meters) or if Bluetooth is disabled on your phone.

Call Management

  • Answer Call: Short press the green phone icon (MF-Button).
  • End Call: Short press the green phone icon (MF-Button) during a call.
  • Reject Call: Long press the green phone icon (MF-Button) for 2 seconds.
  • Redial Last Number: Double press the green phone icon (MF-Button).
  • Mute/Unmute Microphone: Short press the microphone icon button.

Volume Control

Use the Volume + and Volume - buttons on the device to adjust the call and music volume to your preferred level.

Short press the green phone icon (MF-Button) to activate your phone's voice assistant (Siri for iOS, Google Assistant for Android). You can then use voice commands to make calls, send texts, or get GPS directions, ensuring you stay focused on driving.

Music Playback

When connected to your phone, the BC980P can play music. Use the green phone icon (MF-Button) to play or pause music. Adjust volume using the Volume +/- buttons.
