1. Setup and Installation

1.1 Unpacking

Carefully remove the ice storage bin from its packaging. Inspect the unit for any shipping damage. Report any damage to the carrier immediately.

1.2 Placement

Position the ice bin in a location that is level, stable, and has adequate clearance for operation and maintenance. Ensure the floor can support the combined weight of the bin and its maximum ice capacity (854 lbs). The bin dimensions are 48"W x 31"D x 50"H.

1.3 Leg Installation

Attach the included 6-inch legs to the bottom of the ice bin. Ensure all legs are securely fastened and adjusted to keep the bin level.

1.4 Ice Maker Connection

This ice bin is designed for use with a top-mounted ice maker. Refer to the ice maker's instruction manual for specific connection procedures. Ensure a proper seal between the ice maker and the bin to prevent ice melt and contamination.

1.5 Initial Cleaning

Before first use, thoroughly clean the interior of the ice bin. Use a mild, food-grade sanitizer solution. Rinse thoroughly with clean water and allow to air dry.

2. Operating Instructions

2.1 Ice Storage

The Ice-O-Matic B110PS bin is designed to store up to 854 pounds of ice produced by a compatible top-mounted ice maker. Ice will automatically fall into the bin as it is produced.

2.2 Ice Retrieval

To access ice, lift the top-hinged, slope front door. Use a clean, sanitized ice scoop to retrieve ice. Always close the door securely after use to maintain ice quality and temperature.

3. Maintenance

Regular cleaning and maintenance are crucial for optimal performance and hygiene.

3.1 Daily Cleaning

• Wipe down the exterior surfaces with a clean, damp cloth.
• Ensure the door and surrounding areas are free of ice buildup or debris.

3.2 Weekly Cleaning and Sanitization

• Empty all ice from the bin.
• Clean the interior polyethylene liner with a mild, food-grade detergent solution. Use a soft brush or cloth to remove any residue.
• Rinse the interior thoroughly with clean water.
• Apply a food-grade sanitizing solution to all interior surfaces according to the sanitizer manufacturer's instructions.
• Allow the sanitizer to air dry or follow the sanitizer manufacturer's rinsing instructions.
• Inspect the door gasket for any signs of wear or damage. Replace if necessary to maintain a proper seal.

3.3 Drain Maintenance

Ensure the drain line from the ice bin is clear and free of obstructions. A clogged drain can lead to water accumulation and potential sanitation issues.

4. Troubleshooting

• Check Door Seal: Ensure the top-hinged door is closing completely and the gasket is intact. A damaged or improperly sealed door will allow warm air to enter.
