Operating Instructions
Inserting Batteries:
- Identify the correct slot for your battery size and type. The charger supports various cylindrical sizes (AA, AAA, C, Sub-C, 18650, etc.) and 9V block batteries.
- Insert the battery into the slot, ensuring the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals align with the markings on the charger. The spring-loaded negative contact will adjust to the battery length.
- The charger will automatically detect the battery type and begin the charging process. The LCD display will show charging information for the inserted battery.

Understanding the LCD Display:
The LCD display provides detailed information for each charging slot. Use the MODE button to cycle through different display modes (e.g., Voltage, Current, Capacity, Time). Use the SLOT button to select a specific slot to view its detailed information.
- Voltage (V): Displays the current voltage of the battery.
- Current (A): Shows the charging current being applied to the battery.
- Capacity (mAh/Wh): Indicates the accumulated charge capacity.
- Time (h:mm): Displays the elapsed charging time.
- Battery Type: Icons or text indicating the detected battery chemistry (NiMH/NiCd, Li-ion, LiFePO4).
- Charging Progress: A bar or percentage indicating how full the battery is.
Charging Process:
Once a battery is correctly inserted, the charger will automatically detect its type and begin charging. The smart charging function ensures optimal charging parameters are applied. Charging will automatically stop when the battery is fully charged, indicated by the display.
For NiMH/NiCd batteries, the charger uses -dV detection to prevent overcharging. For Li-ion/LiFePO4 batteries, it uses CC/CV (Constant Current/Constant Voltage) charging protocol.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Disconnect the charger from the power source before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Storage: Store the charger in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Battery Contacts: Periodically inspect the charging contacts for dirt or corrosion. Clean them gently with a cotton swab and rubbing alcohol if necessary.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Charger not powering on. | No power connection; faulty power adapter; faulty outlet. | Ensure power adapter is securely connected to charger and outlet. Test outlet with another device. Try a different power adapter if available. |
| Battery not charging / "Error" displayed. | Incorrect battery insertion; incompatible battery type; defective battery; poor contact. | Re-insert battery, ensuring correct polarity. Verify battery type is supported. Remove and re-insert to ensure good contact. If error persists, the battery may be defective. |
| LCD display is blank or flickering. | Unstable power supply; internal malfunction. | Check power connection. Try a different outlet. If problem persists, contact customer support. |
| Batteries get warm during charging. | Normal operation; overcharging (less likely with smart charger); faulty battery. | Slight warmth is normal. If batteries become excessively hot, remove them immediately and discontinue use. Ensure proper ventilation. |
