1. Product Overview

This manual provides instructions for the LexonElec K680 Wireless RGB Gaming Keyboard and Mouse Combo. This combo features 2.4G wireless connectivity, RGB backlighting, and rechargeable batteries for both the keyboard and mouse.

2. Setup Instructions

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Ensure you have the keyboard, mouse, USB charging cable, removable hand rest, and the 2.4G wireless receiver.
  2. Power On: Locate the power switch on the side of the keyboard and the bottom of the mouse. Slide both switches to the 'ON' position.
  3. Receiver Placement: The keyboard and mouse share a single 2.4G wireless receiver. This receiver is stored in a compartment at the bottom of the mouse. Remove the receiver and plug it into an available USB port on your computer.
  4. Initial Connection: The keyboard and mouse should automatically connect to your computer via the 2.4G wireless receiver. No additional drivers are typically required for basic functionality (Plug & Play).
  5. Attach Hand Rest: The keyboard includes a removable hand rest. Align the hand rest with the keyboard's front edge and attach it.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Keyboard Functions

  • Standard Keys: The keyboard features 104 standard keys.
  • Multimedia Function Keys: The keyboard includes 11 dedicated multimedia function keys, accessible via the 'Fn' key in combination with F1-F12. These allow control over media playback, volume, and other system functions.

3.2 Mouse Functions

  • Buttons: The mouse features 6 buttons, including a scroll wheel, two side buttons, and a DPI switch.
  • DPI Adjustment: Cycle through DPI settings (800/1200/1600/2400 DPI) using the dedicated DPI switch button.
  • Backlight: The mouse features seven-color breathing lights. The color of the mouse backlight is not adjustable.

3.3 Power Saving Mode

Both the keyboard and mouse will automatically enter sleep mode after 5 minutes of inactivity to conserve battery. Press any key or move the mouse to wake the devices.

4. Maintenance

4.1 Charging

To charge the keyboard and mouse, connect them using the provided USB cable to a 5V DC power source. The keyboard has a 4000 mAh battery, and the mouse has an 800 mAh battery.

  • Mouse Charging Indicator: When the mouse's indicator light (often referred to as the 'snake head light') becomes dim or turns off, it indicates that the mouse requires charging.

5. Troubleshooting

  • Device Not Responding:
    • Ensure both the keyboard and mouse power switches are in the 'ON' position.
    • Verify the 2.4G wireless receiver is securely plugged into a functional USB port on your computer.
    • Check battery levels. If low, charge the devices using the provided USB cable and a 5V DC power supply.
    • If the devices entered sleep mode, press any key on the keyboard or move the mouse to wake them.
  • Backlight Not Working or Incorrect:
    • Press FN + DEL to cycle through backlight modes (Standard, Breathing, OFF).
    • Adjust brightness using FN + ↑ or FN + ↓.
    • Note that the mouse backlight color is fixed and not adjustable.
  • Lag or Signal Drop:
