6. Maintenance
6.1 Cleaning the Keyboard
To maintain the longevity and appearance of your EPOMAKER EP64 keyboard, regular cleaning is recommended. The PBT keycaps are designed to resist shine, wear, and oils.
- General Cleaning: Use a soft, lint-free cloth slightly dampened with water or a mild cleaning solution to wipe down the keycaps and keyboard frame.
- Deep Cleaning: For deeper cleaning, use the provided keycap puller to remove keycaps. You can then clean the switches and plate with compressed air or a small brush.
- Water Resistance: While the keyboard features a water-resistant mainboard, it is not fully waterproof. Avoid submerging the keyboard in liquids. If spills occur, immediately disconnect the keyboard, dry it thoroughly, and allow it to air out before reconnecting.
7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues with your EPOMAKER EP64 keyboard, please refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:
- Keyboard not responding: Ensure the USB cable is securely connected or the 2.4GHz receiver is properly inserted. For Bluetooth, ensure it's paired correctly and the battery is charged. Try resetting the keyboard (Fn + SPACE for 3 seconds).
- Keys not registering: Check if the keyboard is in the correct operating mode. If using wireless, ensure sufficient battery. For hot-swappable switches, ensure they are fully seated in the PCB.
- RGB lights not working: Ensure the keyboard is powered on. Try cycling through RGB effects (Fn + I/O/P) or adjusting brightness (Fn + <, / Fn + >.).
- Connectivity issues: For 2.4GHz, try a different USB port. For Bluetooth, unpair and re-pair the device. Ensure no strong interference sources are nearby.
If the problem persists after trying these steps, please contact EPOMAKER customer support for further assistance.
