3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Controls

  • TRUE BYPASS Footswitch: Push down the footswitch to toggle between the effect's on and bypass status.
  • ON/OFF LED: Indicates the on/off status of the Acoustikar. The LED lights up when the effect is engaged.
  • LEVEL Knob: Adjusts the overall output volume of the effect.

3.2 Mode Switch

The 3-way toggle switch allows you to select between three different acoustic simulation modes:

  • Piezo Mode: Simulates the sound from a piezo pickup installed on an electric-acoustic guitar, offering a bright and articulate tone.
  • Standard Mode: Simulates a normal acoustic guitar sound, providing a balanced and natural acoustic tone.
  • Jumbo Mode: Simulates a bigger body acoustic guitar with more low end and resonance, ideal for a fuller, richer sound.

4. Maintenance

  • Keep the pedal clean by wiping it with a soft, dry cloth.
  • Avoid exposing the pedal to extreme temperatures, humidity, or direct sunlight.
  • Do not attempt to disassemble or repair the pedal yourself, as this may void the warranty.
  • Use only the specified 9V DC power adapter to prevent damage.

5. Troubleshooting

5.1 No Sound

  • Check all cable connections (input, output, power) to ensure they are secure.
  • Verify that the power adapter is correctly connected and providing the correct voltage (9V DC).
  • Ensure the footswitch LED is illuminated, indicating the effect is active. If not, press the footswitch.
  • Test with different cables or a different power supply to rule out faulty accessories.

5.2 Undesired Sound / Tone Issues

  • Adjust the LEVEL, BODY, and TOP knobs to fine-tune the acoustic tone.
  • Experiment with the Mode Switch (Piezo, Standard, Jumbo) to find the most suitable simulation for your guitar and desired sound.
  • Ensure your guitar's volume and tone controls are set appropriately.
