4. Operating Instructions

4.1. Data Transfer

Once connected, the Netac Zslim Portable SSD will appear as an external drive on your operating system (Windows, macOS, Linux, Android). To transfer files, simply drag and drop them to and from the SSD, or use your operating system's copy/paste functions.

5. Maintenance

5.1. Safe Removal

Always safely eject the drive from your operating system before physically disconnecting it to prevent data corruption. This is a critical step to ensure data integrity.

5.2. Physical Care

The SSD features a robust aluminum alloy body designed for shock resistance. However, avoid excessive force or dropping the device to ensure longevity. Keep the device clean and free from dust and moisture. Store it in a cool, dry place when not in use.

6. Troubleshooting

6.1. Drive Not Detected

  • Ensure the USB cable is securely connected to both the SSD and your host device.
  • Try a different USB port on your host device.
  • Try a different USB cable (both Type-C to C and Type-C to A are provided).
  • Restart your computer or host device.
  • Check your device's Disk Management (Windows) or Disk Utility (macOS) to see if the drive is recognized but unformatted or uninitialized.

6.2. Slow Transfer Speeds

  • Ensure you are connected to a USB 3.2 Gen 2 (10 Gbps) compatible port on your host device for optimal performance. Older USB 2.0 or 3.0 ports will result in slower speeds.
  • Verify that your host device's drivers are up to date.
  • Avoid running multiple demanding applications during large file transfers.

6.3. Drive Gets Warm During Use

It is normal for the SSD to become warm during extended periods of high-speed data transfer. The aluminum casing helps dissipate heat. If it becomes excessively hot, disconnect it and allow it to cool down before resuming use.
