9. Operating the Alarm Clock Visit
The Bellman & Symfon Alarm Clock Visit offers multiple ways to wake you up and keep you informed:
- Loud Alarm: The clock features an extra loud, audible alarm with an ascending 100+dB multiple frequency signal.
- High-Intensity Flash: Four super bright flashing LED lights provide a visual alert, similar to a smartphone camera flash. This is a great alternative to a sounding alarm.
- Powerful Bed Shaker: The included bed shaker wakes you up with strong vibrations, ideal for heavy sleepers or those with hearing loss. The bed shaker itself also emits a high sound.
- Night Light Beacon: A discreet blue light guides you back to bed if you are up at night.
- Visit Alerting System Integration: The Visit version of the alarm clock connects to the Bellman & Symfon Visit alerting system. It will alert you to important signals in your home, such as a baby crying, a doorbell ringing, a telephone call, or a fire alarm.
You can choose to be woken up by any combination of these methods (loud alarm, flashing light, strong vibration) or all three simultaneously.

10. Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your Bellman & Symfon Alarm Clock Visit, follow these maintenance guidelines:
- Cleaning: Wipe the alarm clock and bed shaker with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.
- Placement: Keep the alarm clock in a dry environment, away from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, and moisture.
- Battery Care: If using backup batteries, ensure they are rechargeable NiMH AAA 1.2V batteries. Replace them when their performance degrades.
- Cable Management: Ensure all cables (power adapter, bed shaker) are not kinked or pinched to prevent damage.
11. Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues with your Bellman & Symfon Alarm Clock Visit, try the following troubleshooting steps:
- Clock not powering on: Ensure the power adapter is securely plugged into both the wall outlet and the alarm clock. Check if the outlet is functional.
- Alarm not sounding/vibrating: Verify that the alarm time is set correctly and activated (bell symbol visible). Check the sound on/off setting on the back of the clock. Ensure the bed shaker is properly connected.
- Display not visible/too dim: Adjust the dimmer setting on the back of the clock.
- Battery symbol with a cross: This indicates that the backup batteries are either not installed or are not the correct type/voltage. Install 4 AAA NiMH 1.2V rechargeable batteries.
- Visit system alerts not working: Ensure your alarm clock is correctly linked to your Visit alerting system transmitters. Refer to the Visit system's specific instructions for pairing.
If the issue persists after attempting these steps, please contact Bellman & Symfon customer support.
