2. Setup and Installation
The CATCHFACE TFX1 Smart Lock is designed for easy DIY installation, typically taking about 20 minutes with basic tools. Ensure your door meets the specified dimensions: 1.37"-1.88" thickness, 2.125" diameter hole, and 2.375"-2.75" backset.
2.1 Door Preparation and Latch Installation
Before installation, verify your door's dimensions. The adjustable latch can be set to 60mm or 70mm backset. Install the latch into the door edge and secure it with screws.

2.2 Panel Assembly and Wiring
Insert the square bar into the front panel and secure it with the iron wire. Carefully thread the wire connector through the door hole. Install the waterproof gasket on the exterior side of the door before attaching the back panel.

2.3 Handle and Battery Installation
Take out the battery cover from the back panel. Connect the cables between the front and back panels, ensuring they are securely fitted. Install the back panel to the door and fix it with screws. Insert 4 AA batteries into the battery compartment and fix the battery cover. Determine the correct direction for the handle (left or right-handed door) and install both the back and front handles, securing them with the provided screws.

2.4 Gateway Installation (Optional)
For remote control features, you will need to install the CATCHFACE G2 WiFi Gateway (sold separately). This allows you to lock/unlock your smart lock from anywhere, set up codes remotely, and check real-time access logs.
