Setup

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Inspect for any shipping damage.
  2. Placement: Select a level, non-combustible surface for the fire bowl. Ensure the chosen location maintains the minimum 3-foot clearance from combustible materials (e.g., walls, furniture, trees).
  3. Lava Rock Placement: Distribute the black lava rock evenly over the burner pan, ensuring not to block the igniter or burner ports. Do not overfill the pan.
  4. Gas Connection:
    • Connect the provided 10-foot natural gas hose to the fire bowl's gas inlet.
    • Connect the other end of the hose to your natural gas supply line using the quick connect socket. Ensure all connections are tight and secure.
    • Perform a leak test on all gas connections using a soapy water solution. Bubbles indicate a leak. If a leak is detected, turn off the gas supply immediately and tighten connections. Re-test until no leaks are present. Do not use an open flame to check for leaks.

Operating Instructions

This fire bowl uses a match-lit ignition system. Always follow these steps carefully.

Lighting Instructions:

  1. Preparation: Ensure the key valve is in the OFF position. Verify that the gas supply is properly connected and the gas supply is on.
  2. Ignition: Hold a long match or long butane lighter near the side of the burner.
  3. Gas Flow: Using the key, slowly turn it towards the ON position.
  4. Confirmation: Once the gas has been lit, remove the long match/long butane lighter.
  5. Adjust Flame: Consult the flame to the desired height using the key valve.
  6. Relighting: If ignition does not occur or the flame goes out, turn the valve to OFF and wait 5 minutes before re-lighting.

Turning Off:

  1. Valve Control: Using the key, turn the valve to the OFF position.
  2. Secure: Once the flame is out, remove the key, and turn the gas off at its source.
  3. Storage: Store the key in a safe location away from children.
