1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the Water Tech iVac250Li Pool Cleaner. This cordless, self-propelled pool and spa vacuum is designed for efficient and powerful cleaning, offering extra debris capture. It incorporates the durability and power of the Catfish series with enhanced accessories and debris capacity. This manual provides essential information for the safe and effective operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your iVac250Li.

2. Safety Information

Please read all safety warnings and instructions carefully before using the appliance. Failure to follow the warnings and instructions may result in electric shock, fire, and/or serious injury.

  • Always ensure the pool vacuum is fully charged before use.
  • Do not operate the cleaner out of water.
  • Keep hands, hair, and loose clothing away from moving parts.
  • Use only the charger supplied by the manufacturer.
  • Store the cleaner in a cool, dry place when not in use.
  • Do not attempt to open or repair the battery pack or motor housing. Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel.

4. Setup

Follow these steps to set up your iVac250Li Pool Cleaner for first use:

  1. Charge the Battery: Connect the charger to the charging port on the cleaner unit. Plug the charger into a standard electrical outlet. Allow the unit to charge fully before first use. The charging indicator light will typically change color or turn off when charging is complete.

  3. Attach Filter Bag: Ensure the reusable filter bag is properly inserted into the debris chamber. The bag should fit snugly to prevent debris from escaping.
  4. Select and Attach Vacuum Head:
    • For general cleaning of larger areas, attach the Wide Vacuum Head. This head is designed for broad coverage.
    • For hard-to-reach corners, crevices, or concentrated debris, attach the Conical Head.

  5. Attach to Telescopic Pole (Optional): If using a standard telescopic pool pole (not included), insert the pole into the designated opening on the cleaner unit. Ensure it is securely fastened.

5. Operating Instructions

The iVac250Li is designed for simple and effective pool and spa cleaning.

  1. Submerge the Cleaner: Slowly submerge the entire iVac250Li unit into the water. Ensure it is fully immersed before turning it on.

  3. Turn On: Locate the power switch (typically a button or toggle) on the unit and turn it on. The cleaner will begin to operate, creating suction.
  4. Begin Cleaning: Guide the cleaner along the bottom and sides of your pool or spa. Move it slowly to allow the vacuum to pick up debris effectively. The self-propelled feature assists in movement.

  6. Monitor Debris Chamber: Periodically check the clear debris chamber to see if it is full. If full, turn off the unit, remove it from the water, and empty the filter bag.
  7. Finish Cleaning: Once cleaning is complete, turn off the unit and remove it from the water.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your iVac250Li Pool Cleaner.

  • Empty and Clean Filter Bag: After each use, remove the filter bag and empty all collected debris. Rinse the filter bag thoroughly with a garden hose to remove fine particles. Allow it to air dry completely before storing or reinserting.
  • Clean Vacuum Head: Inspect the vacuum head for any trapped debris or tangled hair. Clean the brushes and wheels as needed.

  • Battery Care:
    • Always fully charge the battery after each use.
    • For long-term storage (e.g., over winter), ensure the battery is fully charged and store the unit in a cool, dry place. Periodically charge the battery every few months to maintain its health.
  • Storage: Store the cleaner in a dry, protected area away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your iVac250Li, refer to the following table:
